Thank goodness we dodged that bullet and went with O and E instead.

I just copied and pasted what you said. It is still quoting. Taggert inherited a mess. When has it been ok to take a year off just because your starting QB got hurt? Where was the back-up? Isn't he suppose to be the quarterback whisperer? He had one great QB named J. Winston make him look like something he isn't. Mack Brown led Texas to a natty with a one time QB, The Aggies had Johnny football that made Sumlin look like a great coach. Time will tell but luck has more to do with it than anything. Les took over a team that was loaded with NFL talent and recruited well for years. But never got that magic QB. Mack hand picked the best of Texas as Les hand picked La. until Saban came back and took who he wanted and turned the tide. Great players make average coaches look great. Saban understood this. That is why he left Mich St. He fell on his face in Miami because he wasn't coaching the best players. Coach O understands that talent gap and he is doing his best to get better.

When A&M is falling apart and LSU is killing them on the field, the FSU chant will be appropriate.

Fisher rode Jameis Winston to a $7 MM contract.
Jameis left and the program went down....while Jimbo was still there.

Jimbo is a good coach but just not as great as some want to make him out to be...not in Saban's league.

I don't get it, if they beat LSU this weekend, we still look better bc he left fsu in shambles?

Who has claimed he is Saban's equal?

Alternative narrative.... Jimbo is an exceptional coach who was getting more out of those players than taggert can get

Aggies look better this year, so that supports the narrative. I guess only time will tell who is right.

FSU is 5-6 under Taggart. That's the same record they had after 11 games last year under Fisher so.......

I'll tell you one thing. Fischer doesn't know how to protect a QB. They are #116 in the nation in sacks allowed. FSU was #99 last year and #108 in 2016. I've never seen a QB take a beating like Francois did in 2016.

Who mentioned O and E?? Thought this was a Jimbo discussion. Sorry, I don't dump on LSU every opportunity I get.

Keep your fingers crossed little buddy, maybe your team will lose so you can get say “I told you so” to a bunch of people you’ll never meet on an LSU sports forum. There are some mentally ill, damaged piles of shite on this board

False. The admin refused to keep up with the Jones' - i.e., Clemson, Fisher saw his competitive edge slipping (and it was), and got tired of fighting them.
That's the fact.

At A&M, he'll make the same continual "up-scaling" demands to keep pace, and he'll get the admin/financial support he wants there.

Did he really though? Either all of his classes were extremely over-hyped, or maybe Taggert is just a garbage coach.

i'd bet on taggert being trash. we have watched jimbo at many stops be successful.

I'll give you that Jimbo basically took his last year at FSU off after losing his starting QB against bama week 1.

no doubt. i said this for ages.

This is some of the most complete and comprehensive reporting I have ever seen. You should seriously consider becoming a sports journalist. With this type of superior analysis, you could be working for ESPN in no time.

It's takes a special kind of fool to think a coach takes a year off.
