So Alleva got butt hurt he didn’t get his way and made a rash decision
Let's say your boss tells you he wants to have a chat with you about something related to your employment, and you tell him, nah, no thanks.
At that point, you are pretty much gone.
Like it or not, JA is his boss, and FKA is the boss's boss, and when they tell you to show up, you show up.

WW not going was by design and was in no way an admission of guilt on his part.
I love what he's done here (at least in terms of wins on the court), but there's really no way the university can keep him employed.

Why would his attorneys tell him not to speak to the ad?
Loose lips sink ships.
Why would your attorney let you speak with anyone until this mess is over.
His career and our basketball program depend on it.

What should they have done? AD has a responsibility to look into this. The first step for anyone would be to talk to the coach.
He doesn't have an obligation to handle it right now though, which is my point.
We're either screwed or we aren't. There is no in between. Having Wade come in and explain this at this juncture does no good, one way or the other. The man is subpoenaed to testify in a trial in a month already.
A practical solution to anyone with a functioning brain is to say we're handling it and then deal with it after the season. That's a real world solution. This fantasy land where people are talking about some sort of false integrity in college sports is asinine.

Im not so sure about that. Depends on how big this thing really is, which I'm sure they would really like to know

Repeat after me: "WE. ARE. HANDLING. IT. INTERNALLY."

Why would Will Wade's attorney advise him not to speak with F King and Alleva unless he thought F King and Alleva did not have Wade's best interests in mind?
Did you just say this like it was a question? Those two slimeballs are in it for themselves, and won't hesitate to throw anyone else under the bus then drive over them

I most certainly can. It’s absolutely infuriating that none of our administration has the balls to back our own people up. Every other school would have shut this shite down, showed confidence in their coach, and said if you want it. Come get it.
Exactly. They've known about this for months now and they haven't spoken to WW before now? Their strategy should have been planned long before now. Weren't they aware of what was on the tape released? Great leadership in action once again!

Roger, from a practical standpoint, any damage done by the NCAA will be the same whether Wade is suspended now or in April.

Something is not right here. Why would Will Wade's attorney advise him not to speak with F King and Alleva unless he thought F King and Alleva did not have Wade's best interests in mind?
Because he's set to testify in federal court in a month

Let's say you are a CEO at a large company. One of your star employees has been publically accused of doing something that will bring unsavory press upon your company, behavior that if true is unethical and breaks professional rules.
Do you really think the CEO shouldn't ask any questions? And if he wants to ask questions, that the employee should be allowed to say no thanks and that be the ned of it?
JA is well within his rights, and honestly needs to, get to the bottom of this. The fact that so many of you want JA to turn a blind eye is pretty damn disturbing.

There’s no way I trust LSU leadership not to leak out what I told them

This is currently not an NCAA matter it's an FBI matter. This means criminal implications.
I've read the transcripts of the calls and they sound bad, but what's that old saying......"Everything you say can and WILL (no pun intended) be used against you in a court of law"
I'd plead the 5th till the cows come home. If they had real evidence, like a money wire or transfer we wouldn't get some lame Yahoo Sports leak about a phone conversation, he'd be indicted and be facing charges.
He's been subpoenaed to court in April by the Defense Attorneys. If they had proof he did something it would be the FBI reaching out to bring him to court.

If Alleva and the board allows Wade to continue and something larger comes up that he's kept from them, they are fricked
If Wade will not talk, I don't see they have much choice

The AD has a horrible track record relating to throwing coaches and players under the bus before all the evidence is presented so there’s that.

Are you under the impression that we should not be paying players? That is part of Will Wade's job. Now, being sloppy and getting recorded talking about it is not ok.. but why would Joe and F King care if the "behavior" is true? I would hope they are well aware of it being true already.. so I don't really understand what questions they would need to ask.

If we win a Title this year, who cares what happens after? Honestly, who cares? I don't give a shite if they vacate it. It still happened. I'd take a post season ban for a few years for a Title.

Wade’s attorneys and the LSU nation has zero trust in Alleva and King and not should they. This was the right move by Wade and his representatives for the long term because those other mfers have proven they will throw EVERYONE under the bus in a heartbeat.
