If the officials had not called it out of bounds then there wouldn’t have been a mandatory count down and LSU would have had plenty of time to get to the LOS and clock it before time expired. Then kicked it, but that didn’t decide the game anyway....

All the games mentioned rock, but the one that still pumps me up is beating the Ole Ball Coach Spurrier in Tiger Stadium when they were #1 and ended their SEC win streak in 1997. Tommy Banks, Pic 6's, Options, defense, thrown visors, this game had it all.

I was in Chapel Hill NC at the Regional, and they were a very Senior laden (5th Yr player) type team and at home.
We had a ton of fans there, but as with most hosting teams many if not most of the close calls, pitches, and breaks went their way.

Sampson has so much upside but his weight looks light for D1 FB. Those top 4 look pretty stout to me.
If Thomas just plays like he did at STATE he'll be a great contributor, but like has been stated, how many opportunities can he realistically get?...

We wanted so badly for him to succeed and gave him his chances. His bat was okay. His catching was suspect. Dropped Soooo many balls right in his glove but did have a great arm to pick off stealers.
Hate to see him go, & wish him well, but newcomers are likely an upgrade!...

Impossible to replace the production from Crews, and we tried with players like Kling which was a huge dropoff. Couple that with Hurd going from Fri. Night starter to off the cliff was another tremendous hit.
Given what we lost the season we broke the champions curse....

UNC is not getting all of those close calls in Omaha. They only lost 3 games at home all season and one was to LSU. There’s a reason....

I was at the Chapel Hill regional in person and the umps seemed to be influenced by the crowd that is right on top of the umps who heckled him al game every game.

I'm staying in Chapel Hill at Courtyard and have extra tickets if you need them. Likely 3 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday. May have 3 or 4 for Monday if necessary....
