TIFWIW but I was told this by someone in the know. Nerve problem in his back. It’s a pain issue…some days he could probably tolerate it and pitch and others probably not. I’m assuming they want him cleared of the issue before running him out there.

The only thing that makes me curious is that the Rougarou game a year or so ago they were signing autographs and he seemed like he had an attitude issue - typically you can get a feel of coached for a long time and you can tell the ones that are fiery and have the attitude issues.

If the injury has been his back, it likely takes a while to heal. Remember when Josh Smith was out with his back? It took a good while for him to come back. I don’t know that we’ve been told exactly what Guidry’s injury is other than middle body or something like that. Abdominal or back, either could take a while.

He also never really put on much needed weight from his freshman year which definitely would contribute to any injuries

Yes, every home game he's in the dugout.

Bad Backs are very nervy and twitchy. Very easy to compensate for pain change delivery and hurt your arm. It cost me 2 yrs of playing college ball. Back then we didn’t know any better. Now of course they do. No clue of his severity.

Not knowing how bad it is, but nerves take a long time to heal. Bad backs can be a nightmare from the neck to the lower back.

Yes. Saw him in Austin and at the Box. He's definitely still with the team. Some media member said that he had a setback in his recovery.

Jay has said in a presser that the injury is his back/butt. So I guess lower back is the issue.

I’m doubting it any time soon

Don’t know what’s going on but many who claim to know say it’s significant and I don’t see how you pitch with a bad back

At the end of the semester, once grades are posted and GPA improved, he will be pitching in regionals.

I believe, therefore I am....The things that we think are possible, are the things that make our dreams a reality.

Talked to him outside the locker room this morning after the game and he said he is progressing and doing way better that hopefully he will be back soon.

At some point. They are probably slow-playing him to come back late in the SEC slate to be fully ready for the postseason.

From what I understand he's been medically cleared, it's more of a pain tolerance thing relating to pitching. ANd the worry of maybe reaggravating it.

He was on the field postgame last night. He was standing right behind CJJ while he was talking to the team.

Didn’t he close out game 3 of the CWS championship series as a freshman? I’d say that’s pretty meaningful.

Some really believe he will, and others really believe he will not.

I believe he will, but I make no prediction as to when or as to how effective he’ll be. The guy was inconsistent last season but apparently had a good fall.
