I LOVE Josh Williams, but LSU needs an NFL RB.

If he is then something went wrong. You have to get a high end talent from the portal there. The position has been pretty bad the past 3 years and not close to LSU standards. No offense to Williams. I think he's a great depth guy who could compliment any big time RB that comes in.

Goodwin could be high end talent but he's so injury prone it's hard to imagine he even makes it a full season. He was hurt in HS as well.

Josh Williams will be a NFL player he does a lot of things well. Excellent blocker, capable runner and a good reciever out of the backfield.

Williams plays hard but an NFL guy doesnt get run down like hes standing still on that forty yard carry against Georgia

Kyle Caskey, former NFL running backs coach, says Williams is an NFL back. Loves him and everything he does.

I here you OP... unless they sign a freshman sensation or some stud from portal Josh is the starter. He won me over this year and hope he is even better next year.

The lowest talent level of LSU RBs in over 25 years. Never seen such a non-impact group at that position.

What about the offensive line? Aren’t we still at the point where that is the weakest link?

You found a clip from 1986 where a HOF defensive back who was known as one of the fastest players in NFL history runs down a 6'3 225lb Rb HOF workhouse RB in a year in which he carried the ball 404 times. I bet you are one the liberals who found one study of where a cow fart hurts the universe so you do not want anyone to ever eat meat again. have your own little opinion but dont be such a pantywaste when someone disagrees with you

1986

This

And, I say that while saying Josh Williams was awesome and exceeded every reasonable expectation of him.

40 TIME: 4.37 SECONDS
would make emery the fastest RB in last year's draft.

You think that's true ?

And Josh Williams MAY make and nfl scout team because of pass protection

I like our guys, but we need better

Really looking forward to seeing how Trey Holly does. My biggest concern for him is he's a little guy with over 1200 carries in HS. That's a lot of wear and tear. Fortunately he's so shifty he doesn't take the same amount of punishment as a bruiser back.

LSU needs a home run hitter in the backfield to make it easier on the offense
I love how hard Williams plays and the little things he brings to the table but we need an explosive player that is a threat to take it to the house every once in awhile

Williams did average 5.5 yards a carry this year on 97 attempts.

Cain averaged 5.2 on 68 attempts.
Emery averaged 4.7 on 70 attempts.
Goodwin averaged 57 on 45 attempts.
