Hope he can stay consistent! He always has high highs and low lows. This could be the year. Pulling for him

The talking point is always “Pearson is not going to hit .300” but I don’t see any reason why he can’t.

Josh Pearson isn't this years any thing snd he's better than Jobert was.

Dude has been incredibly clutch for years.

His leaping grab vs Wake Forest in the Tommy Tanks walkoff game was incredibly huge. We lose if he doesn't make that play and never even make the natty.

That kid is ice cold

Was that the UF Game 1 with the incredible catch off of a rocket?

Looks to have flattened his swing out slightly. Definitely helped him put balls in play. He was trying to go yard every swing last year. Been a pleasant suprise.

If I remember correctly, he was pretty clutch in Omaha.

That was the piss missle Wyatt Langford hit in game 1 of the championship series against UF. And without that play, we lose the series.

Jobert could carry a team by himself and did. He was hot and cold. Pearson is just clutch. Got that Robert Horry gene.

Yeah, two years ago, some fans were questioning why he was even on the team. Then he saves us in the College World series, with his bat, clutch hitting, and fielding.
Now he just continues to get better.

Some guys take a little longer to develop consistency.

Didn't he have a Florida series where he absolutely went off?

Well, how quickly we forget when he went on a heater…
The Vandy 22 series might have been one of the most dominant hitting performances against really good pitching, LSU has ever had. Jt is the quality of the opponent that matters.

Player of the Week on May 23 after hitting .500 (8-for-16) in four games with one double, one triple, five homers and 13 RBI … in the three-game Vanderbilt series (May 19-21), he batted .500 (6-for-12) with one double, one triple, three homers and 10 RBI … in the May 21 win over Vanderbilt that clinched the No. 4 seed in the SEC Tournament for the Tigers, Jobert tied the LSU single-game record for RBI with nine, as he blasted a grand slam, a three-run homer and a two-run double … he tied the school RBI record originally set on March 5, 1999, by Eric Hendrickson versus Ohio …

It’s not that he “can’t” it’s just that over his first 3 years he’s been a .260 career hitter. So making that jump is a tall task. I would love for it to happen, it just seems unlikely.
