have give him a pass on that one, iirc that was all his agent's doing, and a shrewd move
Sure it was shrewd, but it pushed him towards the Saban end of the spectrum instead of the constant insistence that he was some great guy.

regardless of the persona that Miles and other coaches like to project, the coaching profession is a very sleazy, nepotistic, backstabbing, cliquish group, and most coaches are typically egomaniacal pricks, lump pols in this fraternity too

said they had to walk on eggshells when it came to covering/writing about LSU, as if LSU was almost the editor prior to printing

And that paper still threw LSU under the bus.

Oh...and welcome to every newspaper in a major college town.

why didn’t he report on any of it? Because he didn’t want to risk his access to the program.

No one reports on it because they don't have anything to back it up and no one will go on the record to confirm it. He would be risking his job not just access if he reported something like this without anyone going on the record to back it up.

And to think he likely might still be the coach if he just relinquished control of the offense and actually hired somebody.

Was this all that stuff people were freaking out about around 2013 or so? People were convinced he was going to be fired for some sketchy shite then.

Do any of you "old timers" remember the Head Coach that was "catting around" off Old Jefferson Hwy one night and got shot? The press kept it very quite.

I can tell you at least one of the girls names who made allegations to me during the Les Miles era.

Maybe I’m naive, but I will never respect Les Miles ever again. He wasn’t Mr. Clean after all. The whole persona was a fricking act. Glad Miles and Alleva are gone.
