Anything less than 9-3 is a failure at LSU. Always has been, always will be.

Does that mean Orgeron gets fired at 8-4 or 7-5? Not necessarily given the Alleva circumstances.

But make no mistake, the goal better be to win 9-10+ games.

Regular season wise, I say add one win to that and you're looking better. 9 wins with a chance for 10 in the bowl game has to be viewed as a step up.

We had that every year with Les Miles. So you fire him, pay him millions not to coach just to get the same results (or worse most likely)? That's BS.

Jordy is a certified Boudin Buddy, so you can count on this being the official propaganda line straight from Herr Ponamsky.

A step up from what? From Year one of the Orgeron Experiment?

Ok...I guess if we look at it only as 2017 gave us 9-4 and 2018 would give us 10-3.

But is it a step up from why we made the change to him in the first place? Wasn't perpetually having a lot of wins but "nothing to show for it" why Miles was shown the door? LSU fired the previous coach after averaging 10 wins a season over his career. How can we allow this administration to suddenly accept 10 wins when including a post season win as good enough to stay the current course?

Whether you or I agreed with firing Miles when he was, he WAS fired for not being able to get the program back up over the hump. How is inching back to that same level of still not reaching the hump ok with so many now?

False.

10 regular season wins is a success
9 is ok
less than 9 is failure

The Semjase Success Scale.

10 (Regular Season) wins a success
9 wins is OK
8 wins is a failure

Everything should be evaluated in context.
The devil is in the details.
Who do you beat? What's the score? How well do we play? Injuries to our team and to our opponents. Etc.

It's more of a beauty contest than looking just at numbers.

We haven't had a 10 win season since 2013. Two years before Les was even let go. You win 10 with this schedule, that's a step in the right direction.

It's not what we want as fans, but Alleva dealt the program this hand and now they have to dig themselves out of that hole.

That right there is sickening. We’re we saying that in 2011 with Bama, Oregon, WV, AU, UF, and Tenn on the schedule?

8 wins and he needs to be fired. 9 wins would buy him another year in my book.

Because people are dumb. They've become Orgeron fans, not LSU fans.

This is some weird human centipede type shite where Cullota has his tongue deep in the River Boat Felon's arse while the River Boat Felon is trying to lock tongue's with the Shrimp Boat Captain via SBC's entire digestive tract.

The "Les was fired for this" line is boring, old, and irrelevant now. He deserved to be fired, probably sooner than he actually was. Orgeron should have never gotten the job. We all know these things, but it is what it is at this point.

Like I said, this program hasn't won 10 games since 2013. So yes, 10 wins would be an improvement. It's not where you want the program to be, and it's not where they should be, administration shouldn't accept 10 wins as good enough, but it's where they are and you have to measure improvement in some form. Have to walk before you can run.

8 wins-take that in a heartbeat
7 wins-about what is expected
6 wins-LSU has major issues
The same people that expect LSU to go 7-5 expect that Ed Orgeron is on the hottest seat in America. I’m cool with that standard.

He also said that in 2016 LSU didn’t have the talent to match up with the best in college football...
This is one of the shittiest spins ever if he actually said that shite.

We need an LSU podcast with real dudes who don’t pussy foot around and cater to the coach. I just wish one dude was real outside of Mascona. Mascona has so many damn commercials and cry’s so much it’s hard to listen to him too

8 wins would indicate a slightly above average coaching performance IMO.
Then your opinion is trash. O doesn’t get to go 8-4 and that be considered a success.

Do you not see what’s happening in the SEC right now? Everyone, literally everyone, else is making strides to get better and LSU is lowering their standards because now it’s ok to lose.

Fuch that noise.

You think the schedules tough now? What happens when Mullen gets Florida rolling? You see Jimbos class that’s ranked #3? Georgia and Bama aren’t going anywhere.

How can you say that with a straight face while having:
- an annual top 5-10 recruiting base
- top end facilities
- unlimited salaries for assistant coaches

So 7-5 is ok with you?

Our schedule is one of the toughest in the nation, our entire offense is an unknown, and vegas and the media are putting our win total around 7 wins. Do I like 7-5? Hell no. Is it an expected finish from outsiders? Yes. 7-5 is the absolute low end of being an ok season because of that. I don't like it, but it's expected. If 7-5 is what we are expected to finish, then it's just an ok season.
