hard to make late game FTs when you've played 40 minutes

Agreed. College players should not miss 6 in a row

Jones made some mistakes, but this was nowhere near his worst coached game this year.

They slowed it down.
They got looks. They got stops. The problem is that they kept feeding the guy who hasn't hit shite for a MONTH late in the game?

Again, where the frick is Jarrell Martin late in the game? For as good as he is at times, he hides from the moment. If you're the "best" player you go take the ball and finish. There has never been a great player who wasn't at his best in the clutch

So why did he get the ball on the block? It's because he doesn't see the game for what it is.

Shut up. How often do they practice free throws? How much do they emphasize it? I'll bet it's not nearly enough.

Its Division I NCAA basketball. If a coach has to make a kid practice free throws then THAT'S the joke.

At this level, kids should be doing it on their own. Little time should be spent in practice for such elementary bullshite.

jones also wasn't playing conservatively trying not to lose. our guys just ran out of gas and were weak mentally

Jones had 3 unused timeouts at the end of the game. He's had a short rotation all year long and they get tired at the end of every game. He never calls a timeout if only to give them a breather for the final stretch.

As mentioned, you are very inconsistent with your criticism of coaches. You give a coach with a very mediocre career at LSU in a very mediocre basketball conference the benefit of the doubt, but are one of the quickest to jump all over our football coach who puts up elite numbers in a perennial elite conference.

No.

LSU kept running offense and playing real basketball. Thats how you finish games. Its up to the players to execute and they failed.
