I really hope Vitello is the choice. I truly believe he is the perfect candidate to bring us back to where we all want the program to be.

Peterson is a choad IRL and doesn't have shite for sources.
Not saying we aren't getting Vitello, but John Peterson is not the guy I'd look at in these situations (or any situation).

“Former golfer” should have given my view away. I’m not sure who he’d have connections with other than maybe some random admin he made friends with

If true…he’s staying at Tennessee. Tennessee will offer more to stay. Woodward got him a raise but not too big of one. Ha! And why publish any this if there is a serious effort to get him. Stupid. Anyone knows that when you’re trying to close a deal that all you need is to know what the number is.

The things I like about Vitello are that he is fairly young and that he is a fireball. LSU baseball is badly in need of passion.

Tenn is offering him a 900K raise and LSU came over the top with 1.5 million. On what earth do you think it doesn’t matter?
Do you think Tennessee is going to outbid LSU?

Also a much bigger risk than other candidates out there.
It'd be like Kentucky hiring Will Wade after 3 seasons at LSU. I don't think they'd do that.
I wouldn't freak out about Vitello, he could be incredible, but it is definitely risky. He has 3 years as a head coach of an underdog mindset program. We are a different animal.
We also don't know how he'll do with longer term roster management or staff selections. Things that create consistent top 5 programs.
