LSU is willing to spend money with any other university when it comes to football. It’s not about having wealthy alumni/endowments, but being willing to invest in football. Plenty of rich universities just won’t spend enough to compete at a top level in football. When it comes to resources that can and will be spent LSU is doing plenty enough to compete. We had the #1 portal class in the country. Are we top 3 in football resources and spending? I don’t know, probably not. Are we top 10 as far as football support and spending? Yes likely

It’s not true though. Between Spaht, Graves, Bordelon, Lipsey and countless others; it’s just not true. LSU has deeper pockets and big money boosters than they care to let on; or the boosters themselves; care to let on. They have finally gotten to a “f it” point of spending; instead of being conservative.

Billionaires don’t have billions in cash lying around in their checking acct looking for a place to spent it. Majority of their wealth is in real estate, etc.
