kelly never won a major bowl game.
And every team he lost to in those major bowls would likely beat Indiana and UGA by 2 TDs.
Why can't people just say that Freeman is doing a good job without taking a shot at Kelly?

those osu, clemson and bama teams are probably better than any team in the playoffs this year, but kelly also got carried by good dc's. he had some bad years at Notre Dame against a meh schedule. he only had good seasons half the time he was in sb. he's a high floor, low ceiling coach.
kelly definitely would've lost to uga this year, if he made it that far at all. beating bama his first year at LSU is the biggest win of his d1 coaching career.
eta: kelly did actually beat clemson in 2020 w/o lawrence.

I’m sure BK is concerned about what this goofball thinks. He probably doesn’t even know who Klatt is.

You can believe it or not, that’s fine. You saying it is “likely” that this year is the easiest schedule in the history of Notre Dame football as if you keep of with Notre Dame football on a yearly basis is hilarious though.

Your point?
My point is exactly what I said. It will be much harder for teams to make the championship game in the 12 team playoff format when compared to the BCS format. The post that I was responding to specifically said that it was harder to make it to the national championship game in the BCS, which just isn’t true.

So you pick the one that shows them inflated by a significant amount.
Sagarin has them 54th after the playoff games.
Colley matrix has them 35 after the two playoff games and 47 before. And Colley is notorious for overranking the ND SOS.

I dont need an IQ to have functional eyes.
The tattooed, deadlocked players may be scholars, they may not be scholars. But it is certainly a look that was not prominent a few years ago.
Transferring in a football player standards are probably a lot less strenuous then applying as a incoming freshman.

You can use whichever site you want. Did you go back and compare it to every SOS in the history of Notre Dame football? Because you claimed that it was likely the easiest schedule in the history of the program.

at Notre Dame it's actually harder to transfer in after freshman year because of credit requirements/quality of school. ALL d1 football and basketball players are admitted under special admissions at every single d1 institution.
some schools just have specific credit/quality requirements for transfers. gpa and test scores only matter that they meet the ncaa minimum. it's always been this way. some schools, Notre Dame included, make the players go to class and earn their grades.
most athletes major in general studies, sociology, etc. these classes are easy at every school.
all the academic talk about "scholar" athletes is silly.
eta: there are obviously some athletes that are also scholars. eric berry being the best example off the top of my head.

Point is that it was a joke schedule built up only on MAC and AAC teams as the good teams they played.
FSU 2-12
Purdue 1-11
Stanford 3-9
USC 6-6
Virginia 5-7
ND played 3, THREE, P4 teams with winning regular season records:
A&M, Duke and Louisville.

sc, gt, army and navy are decent teams. indiana was solid and uga won the sec and was better w/o beck. they would've lost to texas if he hadn't got hurt.
that's nine decent to solid wins on the year. bout the same as all but a few other teams. there are only two dominant teams this year and they split it 1-1 with osu still alive and probably gonna win the natty.
in spite of it being a down year for uga, it's still the biggest Notre Dame win in the last 30 years.

Yes he has, 2022 Ole Miss and Alabama.

Then say that instead of “they likely have the easiest schedule in the history of their program”
Records of their 2021 opponents:
FSU 5-7
Toledo 7-6
Purdue 9-4
Wisconsin 9-4
Cincinnati 13-1
Virginia Tech 6-7
USC 4-8
North Carolina 6-7
Navy 4-8
Virginia 6-6
Georgia Tech 3-9
Stanford 3-9
So in 2021 they only played TWO P5 teams with a winning record.

What is the big difference in 2020 Clemson and 2024 Georgia?

It's going to be fun in a week if ND wins again.
"ND just had to beat an overrated James Franklin team. They still suck. So what if he won a semifinal?"
Nothing would really change in my mind, Penn State is a very similar team to Notre Dame. That could go either way.

They don't have anything off their back and haven't done anything more than what Kelly accomplished during his time there.
Please post Kelly’s major bowl win at ND.
Please post Kelly’s playoff win at ND.
Please post just 1 playoff game or 1 championship game where Kelly did not get his arse handed to him.
I don’t want any nuance. Just provide answers to the above straight forward items.

uga was a sugar bowl win and may have been better off w/o beck. clemson absolutely rolled Notre Dame in the acc championship game with lawrence playing. they beat them with dju playing qb earlier that season.
winning the sugar bowl/playoff/ny6 against sec champ uga > clemson during the regular season.
it was a good win for bk, just not as big as LSU beating bama his first year in br.
