You get so butt hurt if someone suggest anyone is better at anything that Joe Burrow.

All things being equal everyone on earth would take Mahomes’ arm over Joe’s.

That’s being said not everything is equal. Joe has amazing mechanics and footworks that allow to him make all the throws he needs to. He is great at getting his feet set to make a throw, and has great throwing mechanics.

Pat Mahomes is a top 1-3 QB in the NFL, and I’m not saying Joe won’t be. I am Saying they have similarities and differences.

But shitting on Pat Mahomes is borderline retarded. It’s like saying Peyton Manning is a Bum because you’re a Drew Brees fan.

It’s almost as if Mahommes was playing against a better defense than a college QB normally does.

And threw 2 picks.

And scored 3 TDS this was not his best game, but at the same time I wouldn't Judge Joe based off the Auburn Game.

Like I said, you don’t need to shite on Mahomes to say Joe is going to be good.

No one is "shitting" on Mahomes.

But many of us are not prepared to say that Mahomes is a better QB than the guy who rewrote the NCAA single-season record books. And against a brutal schedule. And while going 15-0, with a Natty.

So, no. Not willing to throw Joe under the bus, and declare Mahomes the GOAT.

But you do you:)

One won on the biggest stage in amateur athletics and the other won on a world stage.

Now it's possible that the amateur champion can achieve the same greatness as the world champion but right now to compare the two makes you look like a dumbass.

However can we not compare him to a Super Bowl MVP and NFL MVP?

You do realize that player comparisons are used to find similarities in playing styles and are not about the levels that each plays on? For 3 months we’ve all heard J. Burrow compared to Tom Brady. Just as recent as the NCG there comparisons to Joe Montana by former players and major media outlets. So, why not Patrick Mahomes? I’ve never understood why people act like comparing college football players to the greats of the game or any other pro football players is considered asinine.

Mahomes coming into the nfl was a full 2 years younger than what burrow is

Even now, Mahomes is only 1yr 3mo older than Burrow

He’s played 3 nfl seasons.

Didn’t Aaron Rodgers sit until he was 25? It’s apart of the game sometimes.

Montana is a HoFer, a 4 x Super Bowl winner, 3x Super Bowl MVP, AP 2x MVP, AP offensive Player of the Year, etc. Yet, his peers and major media outlets compare a Heisman winning college QB to him. It’s not saying that Burrow is or will be Montana, just that there are similarities in Burrow’s playing style to a great of the game.

Right, it’s no slight on Burrow, it just shows that Mahomes in terms of development, is way ahead of him.

I mean It’s mostly because Mahomes has excelled in the NFL and Joe hasn’t been drafted yet.

At this point you gotta give the nod to the guys who’s done something at the highest level.

Joe has every opportunity to prove himself, and I firmly Believe he will, but the Bengals would trade the #1 pick for Mahomes in a heartbeat. Just because o reality is worth more than potential.

Steve Young knocked around pro football until he was about 30 years old (and finally took the starting slot with the 49ers). Steve did fine.

Aaron Rodgers was the last big name QB to sit around a few years. Nowadays it seems like rookies start immediately. Look at RG3 and Cam Newtons first NFL games. Both put up solid numbers.

No I don't.

And, in august 2019, you would have traded Burrow for Haskins or Lawrence... doesn't mean it would have been a smart move.

Fawn all you like over Mahomes. But don't INSIST that Burrow supporters do the same. Ain't happnin'

Mahomes is objectively worth fawning over.

You can say you think Joe will be even better (I’m a big fan so I agree with you) but don’t say dumb shite like “he throws hard yippee”

I agree with you that Joe Burrow has every tool he needs to be the best QB on earth.

But idk if he is RIGHT NOW

And him breaking a college record isn’t proof of it.

So let me get this straight, if you’re a Burrow you can’t acknowledge that anyone else is great? That’s what he’s saying.

Joe Burrow could be a better QB than Mahomes. Sadly we may never figure that out. As of now Joe is headed to Cincinnati. He is going from a place where opponents dreams come to die to a place where player's careers come to die.

Mahomes is a very good QB. Read the thread. Said that already. That doesn't mean every QB who wins a Super Bowl is a GOAT.

You literally jumped in both feet with a retarded “he must have college records to go with that generational arm”take. And then kept doubling down on it.

The post you are replying too even say Joe may be more cerebral

Mahomes finished 26-of-42 for 286 yards with three total touchdowns (two passing, one rushing), two interceptions and a 78.6 passer rating.

And a few of his completions weren't great throws.

Whatever.

You equate throwing hard with having a "great" arm. 30 years ago, that was probably true.

Watch Brady, Brees, and Burrow if you want to know what a "great" arm is in 2020.

Mahomes lucked in to a great program that Andy Ried has been building for years. Mahomes did a damn good job this season. But the GOAT? Sorry. Disagree.
