I dont need to try and convince you, i wasnt giving an opinion...simply stating facts. Aaron Rodgers is who Burrow grades out as a pro comparison.
That is a fact? Your definition of a fact and mine must be different. An NFL comparison for a college QB in the draft is an opinion. Even if every single draft analyst had the same exact opinion, it is still an opinion.
Since I am wrong and it is a fact, I look forward to seeing every comp that every analyst shows having Aaron Rodgers as the comp for Burrow. That would be a huge compliment as typically analysts like to be conservative in their comps. You don't typically see a comp be a HOF player.

According the Joel Klatt, after talking to NFL scouts, old and young, the player Joe Burrow most resembles is Joe Montana.
He has great footwork with the ability to avoid the rush, is extremely accurate, and his ball seems to just float and settle into the receivers’ hands.
Just what he said. We shall see.

They both scramble a lot outside the pocket when they are forced outside the pocket, but Joe Burrow is significantly better at it than Mahomes. As he is significantly faster than Mahomes. Not only that, but Joe Burrow throws more accurately than Mahomes while on the run as well.

They’ll probably meet in the AFCCG next year, so we’ll see.

This cannot be the case. 225Tyga said that it was a simple fact that Joe Burrow compares to Aaron Rodgers. Someone is lying unless Aaron Rodgers and Joe Montana are the same person. Has anyone ever seen them in the same room at the same time?

Mahomes ran a 4.8 at the combine. You think Burrow is going to run significantly faster than that?
I think Burrow is amazing, but come on. Every NFL GM woukd take Mahomes over Burrow.

Pat Mahomes has been in the league 3 years and already has a Super Bowl so please tell me why you “can’t” compare a 23 year old QB that just made CFB history and will go down as the greatest season by a QB ever, against a 24 year old who has been in the league for only 3 years and just won a super bowl.... I’ll wait for some of you to get your head out your asses

Bc if we would’ve tried to compare Pat Mahomes to ARod when he was coming out, once again everyone would flip their shite. But the fact is that he is an elite QB like Rodgers in only HIS 3RD YEAR

Ok so right now would you take Trubisky over Burrow?

Because mahommes is doing this against NFL defenses and Burrow was not. It's pretty simple.

I don't know, there were a few incompletions that Mahomes had that I thought, "Burrow would've made that throw."

Burrow CAN extend plays and throw on the run but his a more pure pocket passer than Mahomes who seems to throw while running a lot more than Burrow. Mahomes is more comfortable throwing on the run than throwing from the pocket

No? The argument isn't that I would take someone who has played in the NFL over someone who hasn't. The argument is that I would take a young proven NFL MVP and Superbowl Champ over a guy will one fantastic year of college ball.
Burrow is fantastic. But if I was starting a team, Mahomes would easily be my #1 pick for QB.

quote:Wow! Mahomes must have "generational" NCAA passing records... with that "generational" arm throwing against Big-12 defenses.
Mahomes has generational arm talent.
Pleeeez... Burrow would blow up the NFL with that Chiefs defense and offense. LOL !!!

Frick off! Joey Burrow was the best QB anyone has ever watched play CFB! I don’t think it’s out of the realm to compare him to anyone at this point! Especially the way Mahommes played last night! He was the Super Bowl MVP by default.

quote:Sucks he has to start his career with arguably the worse franchise in the NFL. Burrow is amazing, but he isn't a one man wrecking crew like Cam Newton. He needs playmakers around him.

Machines is perfectly comfortable throwing from the pocket, and like all QBs would rather a clean pocket than to throw on the run
They are just both great at keeping their eyes downfield when on the move.
I think Your assessment of both sorta undermines their abilities.
