How many people expected LSU to finish 9-3? Not many. The over/under for wins this season was set at 7.5 so the expectation was that we would would finish 7-5 or 8-4.

We finished 9-3. Is it not a good thing to finish better than expected?

I ran into Alleva a couple months ago on campus. I was walking up Victory Hill by Cox as he was coming down.

What struck me was he was all alone and looked bewildered. You’d think the AD of a major university would have a posse around him.

No I didn’t tell him “frick you,” though I felt like it. I just gave him a glare as we passed each other that said, “yeah, I know who you are and I despise you.”

That's right. We have an AD who doesn't expect much. We all know if Les was here he would be getting torched for getting shut out by Bama, screwing up the Florida game and losing the TAM game. So O is Alleva's guy so he will sugar coat everything. We were picked second or third to last in the West right ahead of Arkansas and Ole Miss I believe. We finished 3rd. So top half of a 7 team race.

Such a flawed and defeatist mentality.

10 wins in the regular season would be a good season.

If O goes 7-5 everyone says. See we told y’all. O sucks.

He goes 9-3 probably 10-3 and everyone says We knew he could do that. He didn’t exceed anything.

People just need to stfu and see that this year was pretty damn good.

If Auburn and Miami were remotely as good as they were billed in preseason we would be 7-5. We had the same season this year as last year. 1 great win then nothing to really brag about. Instead 2 teams on our schedule fell off the map and we benefited.

Good news for O and Co.

As long as no one expects them to beat Bama, they will never fail to meet expectations.

How many teams had UGA and Bama? SOS is a flawed metric. LSU played down to some really bad teams too.

Did alleva graduate from a&m? He is a fricking joke. Somebody ask him who LSU played in last years bowl game. I tell you, this years not over with yet. If UCF beats the Tigers Alleva is going to turn on coach O with a vengeance . He is a a-hole.

In a vacuum, sure. It isn't a disaster. Then you realize Joe sold the fanbase an improvement from 9 wins, a young offensive-minded head coach, and an exciting brand of offensive football. So far, he hasn't delivered on a single promise of the coaching search.

We aren't supposed to be smart enough to remember all that. Clearly, many aren't

What's wrong with winning a NY6 Bowl? It's not a National Championship, but it's not the Outback Bowl, either. LSU fans are not happy unless they're unhappy.

The experts predicted a shitty year because the year before ed orgeron had 52 4 and 5 star recruits, the easiest schedule this century and got handled by a mid major.
They remembered last year and saw top 10 miami( ended up being garbage ) and top 10 auburn(ended up being garbage) and predicted 7 wins.

We win against those 2 garbage teams and here we sit at 9 wins.

Boat raced by bama, lost to 2 inferior teams, and had an offense so shitty that Southeastern held us to 3 2nd half 1st downs.

Did i mention that we actually got worse in our attempt to win the west?
