JJ Just getting started.

JJ admitted he and his team got the portal wrong last year but the portal has been going on since covid hit. He only got it partially wrong one year/last year. I have total confidence in JJ and if he said he believes in his staff, then that's good enough for me.

There's nothing wrong with waiting and seeing what happens. I know that flies in the face of message board culture where everyone wants to be "first" in crowning a player, team, coach, etc.
This board was so excited when we landed Yorke too. Fact of the matter is, no one knows how good or bad these guys are going to be.

He was a post draft guy who had great contact and BB numbers and lacked power. They tried to tap into that power and it just didn't work.

I hate the portal. I think you will see more ups and downs due to the portal.
Team chemistry is a crap shoot, stats don’t always translate to the next team.

I’m curious because people love to blame this nebulous concept of “chemistry” as a catch-all excuse for poor play. Provide evidence or examples of how this chemistry was lacking and how it contributed to losses

Hey I’m willing to give JJ all the benefit of the doubt but you are fricking stupid to think that his misevaluation of talent has anything to do with the portal. He fricked up, and honestly I don’t understand why.
It’s not roster depletion from a championship year. He honestly thought he adequately rebuilt, and he is on record as believing such. Maybe not for a championship run, but certainly not what this season gave us.
