Damn! You still believe that was Crowton's Offense!
true, this year proved that Crowton was a genius and that if Miles wouldn't have overridden all his calls we'd have been the top rated offense over the last 4 years!!!!

sorry, i fell on my head as a kid, and sometimes i'm asking and answering my own self (kinda like schizo.)
i have stated this before:
28 players were at shady's. nobody saw nuthin'.
then lee leads us to 8 great wins.
2 bad passes in al and gets pulled.
jj comes in. players elect him permanent team captain. (lee demoted and kicked aside.)
somehow, les is caught up in moral delimma b/c of shady's and HAS to go along w/ team player's council.
so, tpc dictates game plan. les agrees b/c he is a nice guy and wants the players to learn.
let the karma ball fall where it may.
les saw the plan falling apart, but had no backup to anarchy.

Throw the ball. That's all he had to do. Just let it go! That's on Les? BTW My class has no place on this board.

ForeLSU, all I can write is compare 2008 BCS Ohio St. offensive play selection and production to what followed. After that game I believe the struggle began.

wasn't Les Miles the coach for that game?
i remember the good ole days when everyone was saying they couldn't wait for this season to be over so we wouldn't have to talk about this anymore. ahhh...memories

Get what you're saying Jackson but what does Miles being from Ohio have to do with it? Saban is from West Virginia which is right next to Ohio and he does not have these problems with Louisiana (or Alabama) men. Of course a lot of them might be hitchhiking home to Momma after telling him who his QB was going to be.
If Les let himself get rolled like that he ought to be hitchhiking back to Ohio. It's hard to believe a grown man with a position like his would let that happen. Certainly no lesticles noticeable there.
The term "wuss" comes to mind - and he really taught the whole LSU football program something didn't he?

Choctaw, Miles was the coach, but not the play caller. And for those that think the offensive conservatism will end this year with the absence of JJ and JL will be disappointed. So past discussion is relevant

Don't really know who was calling the plays, but there was certainly a difference in the BCS game from the play calling in 2010, when Saban admitted that he was outcoached.
The reverse to Peterson on 4th down, the fake punt, the sweep to Shepard, the long pass to Randle...a wide open game -- so unlike the BCS fiasco.

One slight problem with your timeline. Jefferson was actually the captain for the first Alabama game, Les was was foreshadowing what was to come. Who the hell runs their backup QB out as the captain, and what kind of message does that send to the starter that is 8-0?

I didn't hear this interview but I heard a clip ofthe one the other day. He just said the same thing that D'angelo Peterson said in that they didn't run the plays that they had spent time practicing before the game and that they didn't utilize the recieving weapons that are on the team. I don't see how this is construed as being such outlandish statements or how it is throwing Miles under the bus. It's retarded the way people blow all this so out of proportion on this board. The negativity of our fanbase isn't helping the team at all or making Miles job any easier. It's making it harder. But hopefully we can overcome all this next season with a good season out of Mett and a more open offense. Miles has said they are going to have a change in offense philosophy next season meaning they plan on throwing the ball down the field next season, even on first downs.

I'm not real certain that somebody who thinks JJ is comparable to Tim Tebow has any room calling anyone else on this board retarded. Just saying.

SVP is pretty much spot on when he says, "He (Jefferson) wet himself."
Of course he did. Why did LM let him continue doing it? WTF?

I wonder if SVP saw the first game against Alabama. Did he make the same comment about Lee's play in that game? He really shouldn't be saying that kind of thing to any college football player.

No, it is not over, because LM is still the head coach. HE is to blame for the BS BCSNCG idiocy. He and he alone is to blame. It was a performance that ranks among the worst ever in CFB coaching. No question.

I never said he would have. Fact is, we'll never know, will we?
But you don't stick with something you can plainly see ISN'T working. You at least TRY something different.

I agree 100% with that. Right from the start it was obvious we weren't going to get around the edges like we did the first game. They had that covered. Also running right at them wasn't going to work. IMO the only thing that may have worked would have been throwing over them 10-20 yards down the field on early downs, on first downs. If we hit some passes early things might have opened up a little. But with the way they were blowing through our o-line, anything we tried would have been a long shot. But a long shot is better than no shot.
