I hope Landry does try to make this mandatory and the tries to force football teams to comply. Watch how fast these people defending him now will revolt if he took away their football team or kicked off the best player.

And believe it or not, they will. Schools will use it to negatively recruit against LSU.

Kids these days want to win championships. Mulkey has won national titles at two different schools and LSU has an amazing home court environment that only one or two other schools can match. It may make a few think about things, but in the end, kids want a chance to play in front of a big crowd and win championships. She will still get the recruits. Also, LSU has proven to have made some female athletes a lot of NIL money. Few schools can say that.

Is that really farfetched? "Did you see where Louisiana's governor is threatening to pull scholarships for something those girls didn't even do? Who would want to play somewhere like that?"

LSU's coach to same recruit:

"Yeah, sorry, we don't get to choose the governor. His proposition was slapped down by the courts and LSU will always stand behind their student athletes."

Cool, glad that's not gonna cause any problems.

Nah, it's just part of the joke that the people who are most pissed off about LSU not being on the court probably have truck selfies with sunglasses and some kind of Trump filter as their facebook picture.

Won't even get that far.

This is unconstitutional and the courts will strike it down.

I think you’re naive if you think having to spend time with recruits going on the defensive about this isn’t a problem. Is it the end of the world? No. Is it a problem? Yes.

Jemele Hill is a racist. Everything she says involves race.

I can’t imagine Hill has any followers/listeners. I didn’t even know she was still doing media. Waste of time.

I was critical of JBE for getting into politics regarding LSU and will do the same for Landry. Stick to pulling us out of one of the countless categories we are last in and STFU when it comes to one of the few things about this state that is positive. The LSU brand.

We really do live in such a fricked up society where schools and coaches are damned if they do and damned if they don’t — they just can’t win in the court of public opinion.

He won’t, unless he gets a read that his base wants him to. This is political theater; he’ll lean however the wind is blowing.

Any prospective recruit that would take Jemele Hills advice on anything is someone we probably wouldn't consider anyway.

Exactly, the murder rate in Baton Rouge alone is disturbing. But he's out here speaking about taking scholarships from college athletes. Take something from kids that are trying to be productive in this society thats sad,his priorities are missed up. Wondering now,who is the adult and who is the kid?
