Beat Bama, A&M, and UGA and no one will care about FSU/OM. He’ll win it and we’ll be in the playoff. It’s all in front of this team.

If you think Daniels is anything but the best player on our entire freaking team right now then you are a complete buffoon.

Daniels is practically carrying the entire damn team on his back right now. There is no way you can deny what he is doing right now.

Not sure that anyone who is a true fan of any team would deny that Daniels is the best player on the team.

Jd is is a million times better then he was a year ago. But he’s not as good as people think he is. Majority of his throws the receiver is wide arse open! Like completely fricking open nobody near him. I applaud him for getting them the ball unlike last year. But with a good defense I think we’re screwed, especially with how bad our defense is. Downvote all you want but a defense with a pulse will look a lot like the FSU game. People just won’t/can’t admit it.

A lot of Heisman hype comes from the school. Has LSU done a good job of promoting Daniels to the media? I’m not talking about Kelly throwing out a few comments, but a real Heisman campaign that started in the summer. We didn’t need it for Joe because the team was always in the limelight.

Because voters wrongly require the winner to be on the best team

Not necessarily true. Hell, you can go all the way back to Barry Sanders. Just to name a few that weren't on the best team the year they won it, Tim Tebow, Lamar Jackson, Baker Mayfield, hell even Caleb Williams last year wasn't on the Best Team.

we have 2 loses and our offense wasn’t great in 1 of them.

He still wasn’t trusting what he was seeing and wasn’t letting it rip vs FSU.

but that was a big game where he only threw 1 TD and looked pretty hesitant on a lot of deep balls.

That was a corner he needed to turn and didn’t turn till the next week.

2 losses over 5 games will take the media hype away from any player. LSU keeps winning, and you will begin to hear him int he conversations more and more; especially after some of those guys in front of him start losing games.

LSU Players are judged by the BAMA Game. If he stays on pace like his is now and balls out in the Bama Game, he will definitely be invited to NYC, and depending on how the other contenders do, might win it.

I think that’s true overall, but what is Caleb William’s signature win? what was it last year?

Heisman voters are incredibly lazy. They first look at the best player (read QB) on the best team. If there is no great player on that team (see Georgia's best player this season being a TE), they move onto other teams.

From a vegas power ratings perspective (what the sportsbooks use to set lines), Washington is a top 3 team. Michael Penix is having a great year.

1999 yards (in only 5 games) 400 yards per game; 16 TDs/2 INTs. 75% completion %

If you compare that individually to Daniels it looks like this:

1969 (in 6 games) 328 per game; 19 TDs/2 INTs; 73% completion %.

Looking at those side by side, Penix is having a slightly better year. But something is being left out. Rushing yards:

Penix: 9 rushing yards; 0 TDs
Daniels: 422 rushing yards; 4 TDs.

Penix is #1 in Total yards per game 402; Daniels is second 399. Daniels leads the nation in total TD (passing + rushing)

Because LSU has 2 losses is what people keep saying. Which is stupid. Heisman shouldn’t have a W-L requirement. Pat Mahommes threw for 5k in 12 games and wasn’t mentioned at all.

Yet Sanders is a contender?!!!

Gtfo with that crap.

One of the best teams then. Regardless, the team should only come into play when looking at the competition they faced

If that last pass gets caught vs Ole miss, JD would be the front-runner.

he will get the stats because of our bad defense, but needs to get some wins, including a big win vs Alabama or a similar team.
