3rd and 9 on this play and every route is over 20 yards. No one sees a problem with that? Comical. That is a horrible play call.

Don’t worry he won’t. The whole stadium was hollering “he’s open throw it” and he runs

But a QB without a top-1% arm who is risk-averse? Bruh.

You’re saying the same thing everyone else is…the QB isn’t good enough. You have a ridiculous criteria - to 1% arm -that would rule out Joe Burrow. Burrow has an average arm. You know what else Burrow has? Six points on that play!

When Jaden started running left. Before that he was going to track as high as he had to. That route/play was not a good call against the coverage. Also, we know JD isn't that kind of QB. It's a terrible call given JD's play style.

It is everyone else’s fault this guy is shite. they are simply Johnny Manzieling his arse. I called it after the FSU game that defenses would figure him out. Everyone in the SEC has a Mustang package. And if it was the play calling or routes why are his passes 6-7 yd completions? Oh, that’s the Oline, right? Wait, wen the Oline really gave him SEVERAL times with 4+ seconds and he A. Didn’t throw open receivers and got sacked or B. Tried to run and didn’t gain yardage, it was the receivers and play callers fault.

How about taking a coach for his word when he has said on MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, he doesn’t want him reading defenses because that gets him in trouble. Translation - he can’t read defenses presnap and figure out which receiver will have the best leverage. Kelly brought the guy over and he is starting for only that reason.

I would rather lose with a QB that has a semblance of balls.

That’s the play at the start of the game ( first drive ), and he had Boutte ( which is the deepest guy and has 2 steps on the db ).These are the opportunities that you can’t miss, especially against a high powered offense like Tennessee. He hits this play, it changes everything Tennessee wanted to do the rest of the game on defense. You get a less congested field in the first 15 yards and a better chance to run the ball. The safeties wouldn’t have been camped out 10 yards from the LOS.

Absolutely, no way that safety gets there if JD throws on time. And people wonder why the receivers get frustrated? This exact play is why. I wonder if MB makes that play? I bet he does.

Watching the sky came is only a good idea if you’re trying to give yourself a brain aneurysm. Missing open receivers is going to happen for every quarterback, but geezus does it have to be multiple plays on every drive for our guy? You can clearly see the frustration of the receivers every drive. It sucks that this is the best we can do at QB right now according to BK.

Call it what you will, scared, gun shy or whatever. But the fact is JD has avoided throwing into tight windows.

Why are people acting surprised. The scouting report on JD before he got here is he is inaccurate. His inaccuracy was talked about all summer. Now we are seeing in games that he doesn't trust himself to let the ball fly.

Yet they keep putting him into that situation.

Daniels has created the situation for himself. His refusal to even attempt to throw the ball downfield means the entire defense can set up within 10 yards of the LOS where they can sit on short routes and smother the run game.

The staff can call plays geared to create good matchups downfield but they can’t throw the ball for him. Until he does, tight windows is all he will have on short throws.

How many QBs do you know can thread a rope 35 yards in the air rolling across their body?

1. He didn’t need to keep rolling, could have stepped into it.
2. The throw is to the near side of the field
3. If the safety is coming down to the crosser it doesn’t need to be a rope - put it in that big green space and let Boutte run under it.

We should never be running crossing routes 30 yards down the field with JD as our QB.

Never go deep to the middle of the field? Makes it exponentially easier to defend when you don’t have to worry at all about a huge chunk of the field of play.

Daniels is scared to throw. He waits for the rush so he has to run it. He is waiting for conditions to be perfect on every play before he throws it. Is he the only problem with this offense? No. But he is half the problem. Receivers dropping passes and multiple different offensive lines does not help.

Try to think of the great passing teams Miles coached.

No reason not to see what Nuss has at this point. Please, God, do not let JD5 start at LSU next season.

The shallowest route on this pass is 20yds down the field! WTF?

Problem is you say "he doesn't trust his abilities". He doesn't possess the ability to hit a running receiver and he knows it. He knows his abilities. Nothing against the young man, I wish he could hit a running receiver, but he cannot.
