You mean like he did vs Bama last year??
Yes. We want Bama daniels every game.

But I’ve seen major improvement. Kudos to JD5 for putting in the work.
Me too, the narrative from many that he was a finished product as a fifth-year senior as if there was no chance he could develop and get better was always a curious one to me....but I heard it alot.
I guess for some the FSU game was proof of it to them....if so the State game should as the least challenge that notion.

We saw him struggle with reading a good defense, and we saw him shred bad to worse defenses. I think it’s great that he had the game he had this past Saturday against a conference opponent. I hope it continues because I want LSU to be successful. But, I’m also wary that it could be fool’s gold. History says Daniels struggles in big games. Alabama last year was the outlier and not the norm.

I digress. What is your problem with Daniels
C’mon man. You know the answer.

Wow basically identical opponents too is the funny part.

Nuss fan boys please just STFU. The statistics speak for themselves.
I will cheer like hell for Nuss when it’s his time, but this is our QB1.

Twice he threw it deep to Nabers, twice Nabers had to slow down, alter his route to catch it.
There isn’t anything wrong with this. You would much rather it be underthrown than overthrown.
Sure it may limit the play from being a touchdown but it allows a better opportunity for the receiver to make a play on the ball. On a deep ball as a QB you are told to just throw it up with as much air as possible to allow the WR to go get it. The WR is at such an advantage over the DB especially if the DB is beat because they are at a full sprint to catch up and the only way they can truly prevent the catch is to get a PI penalty.

I’m just curious in a tight game if he’ll shut it down mentally
You already have that answer. He was nails down the stretch against Bama at night in primetime in overtime.

Id like to see better accuracy on his deep passes. He tends to under throw the WR. Like he did Neighbors on one of his deep passes
Bro, he basically split Malik's facemask on the 4th down touchdown.

Let them slurp it up. Jd clan needs this.

He was 4/4 on passes >20 yards downfield (all to Nabers). You’re missing the two TD passes that were thrown perfectly.
The two passes you’re referring to were 48 and 45 yard completions. I would bet that both of those balls were over 50 yards in the air, and both were put in a spot where Nabers could make a play on them. The one closer to the middle of the field might have been a pick if it were overthrown.
You said it’s nitpicking and I agree, just pointing out why I think it’s a silly nitpick.

I don’t care if you throw for 800 yards, touchdowns are what matter and your starting QB being responsible for 1 touchdown and 1 turnover in your hardest game of the year doesn’t cut it.
Grambling and miss state are bad teams, but we’ll get a better idea against OM and Bama
Lets see what you said last week before the game....

It will be an ugly win where we put up 17-24 points of offense, but I would bet our defense plays fairly well since MSU has gone back to a more traditional offense....
