I hope this is true.

It sounds too good to be true.

Almost like the baseball gods heard us asking to combine Travinski and Milazzo into one catcher.

A lot of people underestimate how hard it is for a high school catcher to jump into the SEC and immediately be good. You should never expect that

I can tell you right now Jay will not shy away from starting this kid if he can play better than arrambide. Arrambide could not catch a ball to save his life, and he better have a summer of 10,000 catches himself

Found someone who didn't watch any of the second half of the season.

I hope this is true. We heard similar about Arrambide and he needed some work.

Not really. Arrambide was always an offense first catcher with a huge arm and a ton of swing and miss. He is also the toolsiest catcher we've had in 20 years.

Serna is more polished coming out of high school. Still, he's probably the third catcher entering '26.

is a good get and not rated as highly as a few of rhe other signees but a good kid to bring and compete for backup catcher. Not as highly ranked as arambide was. Doesn't sound like hes really gonna be a 3b option but a catcher with pop

Nobody gives a frick about your dogshit analysis, dicklicker As if.

He and Luis both struggled to catch and block for the first few weeks. They each made huge strides.

I think the only question left for Arrambide is if he can improve his pitch recognition enough to be ready next year. He can hit the ball a mile when he gets his pitch, but he struggled to lay off breaking pitches. Not unusual, but still something to watch through summer ball and fall scrimmages. He could be a huge breakout star.

Jay got Cade probably the perfect amount of playing time. Enough to do some good things, and learn the things he needs to work on offensively and defensively. He was much better behind the plate later in the season.

Yes he did and competition is still good. I’m sure watching Hernandez pushed him to improve.

There was no difference in Arrambide vs Hernandez defensively on the back end of the season. Eyanson actually started to take off with Arrambide as his personal catcher.
