I remember a few people saying "can't wait to get him in the portal" when we played

So we traded Dutton for Stanfield? Do we have to name a player later?

Played a lot as a freshman and highly regarded out of high school. Not a bad pickup but will be interesting to see improvement.

Stanfield would have been the best outfield defender in '24 and second best option at the plate behind Larson, who really only played RF out of necessity. As of now, you're probably looking at

C - Priester
1B - Larson
2B - Pearson
3B - Hernandez
SS - Milam
LF - Brown
CF - Stanfield
RF - Curiel
DH - Fountain/Arrambide/Costello (hopefully 2 of the 3 make it) or Frey

Stanfield has 2 years of sec experience with a .280 average

Curiel is a 165lb HS kid that’s fallen down draft charts

This

Not a lot of bright spots on the Auburn baseball team lately, but he's been one of them.

Nice get by LSU
