I agree, most QB's would have packed it up and left after throwing 7 interceptions that were returned for td's and I'm glad as hell he has hung in there and stayed. I thought he looked good in the spring game other than Loston taking one to the house on him. I still think the guy has the potential to be a good QB if he is coached up by the right guy. JL kind of reminds me of J. Howard. Howard caught hell from Tiger fans but hung in there and earned a lot of respect his senior year.

There is something to be said about anyone who sticks around after the shite he got thrown into. I wish him the best, he certainly deserves it.

I agree, Jarrett will benefit from this later in life too. Thanks for sticking with it Jarrett. You are now an honorary coonass.(that's a compliment by the way)

While I agree and applaud JL for sticking around, it is funny to me how much support this thread has received.
I promise I could go trace half of you frickers back and find posts of you crucifying JL.

I complimented you earlier for being mature and posting things that were not distasteful. I officially take it back. Very disappointing!
I know. It is so much more mature and tasteful to start off a thread by calling fellow posters "sorry mf's" and "pussy's". (I also admit it would not have occurred to me to use the possessive of that last word but that it doubtless another of my failings).
I have a lot to learn about what constitutes mature and what constitutes distasteful it seems.

I readily admit crucifying Jarrett Lee quite a few times.
We all know he had 17 INT's in two years, and set a record for most Pick 6's in a season. What made it so bizarre for me was that in High School Jr & Sr years, he threw 71 TD's and just 8 INT's. Obviously, I know HS isn't SEC caliber, but that stark contrast in decision-making has hinted that this guy is just not getting it after basically 3 years in the system.
But I love watching Jarrett throw. Even his picks can look beautiful. I have always said his throwing motion is just like Dan Marino's quick release. As bad as that fist half was against Troy, some of the throws in that comeback in the 2nd half were All-Pro NFL level. Same thing in that Bama loss at home. That first half TD was one of the prettier passes I have seen from an LSU QB ever. But bottom line, we don't lose to Bama if he doesn't throw that pick 6.
I appreciate his loyalty, and his good disposition even in the face of harsh criticism from internet tough guys like me. I actually believe that he has the tools to be a great QB should he ever put it together. And my fingers are crossed for this Tiger.

Thank you for sticking w/ the program and giving it your all while having to listen to half these sorry mf's on this board! Regardless of how your LSU career finishes, you are a class act and someone to look up to. There are many of us who appreciate your will to win and improve this team. We wish you the best of luck and hope you develop into a top notch QB. I can tell you most of the pussy's on this board would have parked their tail between their legs and taken off for greener pastures because they could not take the heat. You will be a better person in life because of the adversity you have faced and fought.
I nominate this for post of the year
ETA: Sould have added that while his coaches and most of his teammates were throwing him under the bus in 2008, he faced the media after every single game with class and his head held high. That is not something you coach, that is leadership, and one of the reasons I hold out hope that one day the games will become like practice for him and there will be a whole lot of MF's on this board and in TS eating a big plate of crow.

As I have said, if the OL is better, both quaterbacks will show each of their respective talents. I have always liked Lee. If he plays to his ability this season, and has help from the rest of the team, what a great career story it would be. I am definately pulling for him and the rest of the team.

Jarrett will have a major impact on LSU before his time is over.

Jarrett Lee is not a good QB. Point Blank. Thanking him to stay here at LSU is so lame!!! So now if Jordan Jefferson gets hurt we have some one who will come in the game, and throw a pick 6?!!! GTFOH!!! Jarrett Lee is still here because he wouldn't be accepted at another school of this magnitude. Its simple riding the pine at LSU beats starting at a division 2 school. Its where he belongs, and its where he will end up if he would leave LSU.
