I am still in awe of that..it is almost looks fake it was so stunning to everyone....and we won the game! Jared Foster was as good a player as LSU has ever had and I've been watching LSU baseball since I was a student in the late 60s!!!

He didn’t have to jump at all. Just keep running and he’s under the ball and catching it on the run.

One of the best. I remember watching it live. Could run through a wall after.

Wasn’t he a defensive sub by Paul?

Also, where is the assault of the Ole Miss ball girl by DJ (?). Number 1 video of all times.

Some on here suggested he was or had banged Paul’s daughter. Rumor only of course.

Know it was just a regular season game but that play is in top 10 of my favorite of all time. Just amazing.

Made all the better by the sad Faggie faces.

That wasn’t DJ. That was Mark Laird.

Best part is the look on the faces of the Aggys in the dugout

No doubt in my mind Foster could have played QB for us had he stuck with it. Every bit as good at football.

It may not have been a big game, but when Mark Laird ran from center field and caught a ball near the right field line when Sean McMullin lost it in the sun, that was the most amazing catch I’ve ever seen.

Foster's catch and Landry's catch against UC Irvine in the supers are two of the most impressive catches I've seen LSU outfielders make.

Leon Landry vs. UC Irvine

But neither of them displayed the athletic ability of Christian Ibarra on this gem:

Because even though people were obsessed with his arm and athleticism he wasn’t a good outfielder, and because of his strikeout tendency he wasn’t a consistent enough hitter until later in his career.

This play sums him up perfectly. Incredibly athletic play which was needed due to his initial bad read and route to the ball.

Also saved that baw's chest. With the way he tried to catch it, did he wave for the fair catch first?

I think that was Stevenson. RF lost it in the lights and Stevenson made a diving catch on it.

Mark Laird’s amazing moment was when he made a great play on a foul ball while humping an Ole Miss bat girl!
