He’s making an honest comment. He obviously cares even if it’s a small part of the fans who feel the need to go after players the wrong way. LE can be an arse but he and I can at least have an honest discussion about players and save the insults for each other. There’s a line that gets crossed and admins are pretty good about not letting people get away with crossing it. But he’s just relaying a reality that players have to deal with. It’s not just here. Twitter can be just as bad. But this place is vast in its reach. Even if a player or parent doesn’t come here, their friends and family do.

Seems like he logged in on the scoreboard during a game we were down.
As far as this site. Some of the responsibility goes on the admins for letting it continue for so long without banning people immediately for trashing players. It’s in the guidelines, yet It went on all season.
It’s sickening to know we have fans who behave like that do. And it’s pathetic we need grown adults to monitor what other adults say about teenage student-athletes. I would assume some are alters or opposing fans, but I’ve seen some real shitbags on this site.
Ive been saying it for a decade plus, we need a subscription and an IQ screening. I’ll gladly pay for this site to remove the trolls and alters.

I’ll say this for JT, he shut everyone up on his own. And the Omaha fans had his back before he even got the big hit. The true fans and not guys like nicholas or magician or pirate king.

After a bad game is easily within the parameters of what's fair to a bunch of idiots we all know here.
That's not a death threat IMO, that's an idiot behind a keyboard. If anyone truly made a death threat they should be prosecuted. I don't believe that's true, sounds like the typical Facebook dramatics.

If it was done on Tigerdroppings then how would you know unless you checked it? Honestly I got pretty pissed at the trolls who were tweeting at Thompson but if you're claiming Tigerdroppings then don't check it and its not a problem.

I’ll tell you this, the first game people around me in the stands were clowning JT and Josh. I tried to stay quiet before I tuned and expressed my disappointment and how sometimes good defense in some spots is enough.
On the way out, one guy grabbed me and said man you were right without that catch by Josh we lose. I just smiled and kept walking.
The third game was nice to see everyone stand up and cheer on Jordan. Even the people who were clowning him in game one.
I can’t imagine this place during game two. I never logged in until maybe late that night.
This place sucks during games. The scoreboard is a cesspool of people who don’t normally follow baseball, opposing fans and alters.
ETA: actually the PBP thread is awesome and there are some really good guys in there. I like most of them.

I don't remember the hate being for Slaughter, it was more for the umps calling it the way they did
