There are 105 roster spots but certain players ate grandfathered in. We have 112 current players and still have 4 spots open.

Ok, so he is saying that he would choose LSU over a practice squad spot?

Only because LSU is paying him more than a practice squad. Otherwise, he stays.

SEC says you can't roster a pro player Until anything has been signed with LSU none of this matters.

How can the sec overrule a federal injunction

Harris was all SEC wasn’t he? He’s in a position where we’re possibly looking at starting true freshman too. De’quan also had over 600 yds receiving and 5 touchdowns from the tight end spot. Neither of those guys were just depth pieces, I think both would play a good bit.

I am sure LSU has enough scholarships to add Pyburn and the other names mentioned in recent reports who make not make their NFL rosters.

But didn't the full scholarship limits increase from the 85 it was for a long time also?

Would you rather see a team and coaching staff that has no pride? How many great teams has LSU had that didn't have pride and ego? Now it's called swag but all great teams have it.

When it comes to HCs, they all have big egos. Name the great HC's that had no ego? Saban has a massive ego. Tom Osborne had an ego. Joe Paterno. Steve Spurrier. Bobby Bowden. Hell there are HCs who have never done anything like Gundy at OK State who have huge egos. Some might come across as more humble and less slimy but they all have egos.

Curious question. What if practice squad? Also what happens if one of these guys doesn’t make to roster but during the season gets a call due to injuries. Do they leave college and go to NFL in middle of the season?

The NFL has said no. You become an UFA next offseason.

Elaborate.

Pride and ego are the cornerstone for every sports team every year.

After so many years of pride and ego being the strength of success, why do you think it will suddenly be the downfall?

We'd pay a lot more.

Im not saying he'd start but Harris started every game last year for Ole miss and played nearly 600 snaps.

And is apparently 40 lbs overweight and coming off an injury.

He’s one that actually will help in the starting lineup immediately.

The others are all depth

The Notre Dame DE is every bit as good as Pyburn and maybe better, IMO. Neither are all-SEC material, but we did just get some help at this position.
