LSU by 10
FSU fan base is delusional.
We score at least 35. The ONLY question is can we generate enough of a pass rush to take some heat off of our secondary. We will lose some of those battles, to be sure.
But not all.
And we impose our will in the 4th.

Maybe, but I’m thinking 42-35 LSU. It’ll be a tough game with lots of ups and downs.

I’m with you. I’ve been convinced we win by two scores. I like your prediction.

A good dline erases mistakes by the secondary. Not usually the other way around. If we can pressure and contain we should be able to make enough plays.

The only thing that really concerns me is our DBs. FSU has some monster WRs and a QB that can get them the ball. And we're relying on transfers again to compete for starting spots.

I agree. I think LSU is deeper and more talented than FSU. Our OL is just huge 6'6" and 320 lbs. average and just plain nasty. We have two All Americans on D and our secondary is better than advertised. FSU has a good QB and some good skilled players. But LSU just has more at RB and WR's. Not to mention the TE's. LSU just has a little more fire power than FSU and that will show early in the 4th when LSU starts to pull away and the OL has their way with FSU's defensive front. I'm not nervous at all. LSU rolls over FSU. My prediction all week has been,

LSU 41
FSU 23

I felt better last year because FSU wasn’t very good.

I think more if FSU this year. We will need to be good.

If we keep their QB inside the Pocket I think our DB's will thrive. That guy killed us last year when he broke contain. Difference this year is No. 40. We sort of got a preview of things to come when Perkins spied Young last year. This year, Fla. St QB will be introduced to Mr. Perkins.

38-28. LSU goes down 21-7 but scores a TD just before half to make it 21-14. We come out and dominate the second half and hit a FG late to seal it.

We better score 50+. Our DB’s are going to struggle. We are in trouble back there.

It is UM opener 2018 all over again. We're gonna assault them. And I'm not even really that high on us this year. Thinking 10-2. But we're gonna destroy Fla State

I think Florida state will score points but the D will get timely stops unlike last year. The OL will be much improved and will control the LOS throughout the game.

More feel like you than not, but that's due to expectations created by the success of other programs, in addition to a win at home over AL last season

Plenty of reason to be optimistic, Doc, but wouldn't expect too much too soon. I'm picking LSU to win, but I'm expecting a very close one.

So much of LSU's success these last decades was due to having CBs we could put on an island, freeing up others to create havoc. Plenty of high draft picks in the secondary on those championship level teams.

I don't see the coverage skills back there right now. Nobody getting drafted on the first day. I mean, how often have we even heard the word zone when discussing coverage

FSU's skill guys have enough to attack us where we're most vulnerable. Game is in Orlando. We never lose in NO, yet found a way last year. I keep remembering maybe the best CFB of all time playing on the road early and what a struggle that was, esp on defense.

Needed a huge 3rd and 17 completion to win that one. I could see something similar Sunday night being the case.

I can see it being like 2019 vs TX. Up by less than a score for most of it. Nervous late 4th if we give it back to them, but get a big play to put us over the top.

Perkins is a huge chess piece to have at your disposal.
