He didn’t have his best game but with experience he is going to be great. His receivers don’t catch the ball unless they are wide open and the pass is perfect. Theres no room for error at all when he passes the ball. Hopefully the receivers get better along with Nuss as they get experience.

Great clutch passes ! Alot of QBs would have choked . He had ice in his veins . Hilton was probably going to be his deep threat until he got injured . Hope Nuss develops more timing with his receiving corps . This is Nuss first year as a starter , so cut him some slack .

Had he played better in the game, there would have been no setup for the type of heroics that happened at the end. This isn't uncommon when attempting to measure QB play in a singular game. But if you want to be fair about it, you have to at least consider why the team was in that position to begin with.

I do hope he learned somethings tonight that will make him a better player.

What I will say about Nussmeier is, he is a great competitor and has a belief in himself and that his team is never out of it. I like that those characteristics tremendously no matter who it is.

Yea hes a really good / great qb

Now you’re starting to come back to reality. He’s good. Can he be very good? Yes, I think he can, but he has to improve in quite a few areas to get there. Can he be great? That is a steep hill and it remains to be seen. Hodson was not great. Booty was not great. They were VERY good. Let’s not get ahead ourselves with greatness.

Borrow was great. Daniels was great.

Im glad we have him.

Me too.

Nope, not yet. Go back and watch JB and JD’s first seasons at LSU. We were complaining and bitching about the SAME things with Joe and Jaden. Watching it for a third LSU starting QB in a row playing their first full SEC season I’m starting to see the same type of “development” with Nuss (if that’s what you want to call it). We’re all complaining about the same things………poor, sometimes bonehead decisions throwing the ball, no touch throwing the ball downfield, etc. But there some things that you can’t learn in practice. It took both Joe and Jaden a full season of SEC play experience to start to “see the field” the way they need to. This is evidenced in how well both QBs played at the END of their first year at LSU, in particular the bowl games. I know we complain about Nuss’ hesitation to run with the ball. IMO, Nuss trusts his arm so much that he spends too much time trying to find an open receiver when wide running lanes are opening up for him to just tuck it and run. This all goes back to him learning to expand his overall “field vision” so he can see and recognize those opportunities. Contrary to what some of you say, (Nuss is incapable of running with the football) he has proven in the few times he has run with the ball, that he is capable of doing it. I hope he stays for another year so we can see the same improvement in him as we saw in Joe and Jaden.

His fundamentals are worse than any LSU qb I can remember in my lifetime. He is relying on pure talent at this point.

One of the more impressive plays I've seen. 15:43 timestamp.

Once again the adjective "great" is grossly misused. Do you guys know what great means? Nuss has the potential to be great but if last night was "great", what were Burrow and Daniels? Let me guess, "generational"? Another grossly overused word in today's language.

He still has flaws number #1 is he takes too many chances especially in situations when it’s ok scramble or throw it away, The INT the first play after our INT was just dumb. There was nothing there and it was 1st down.

Nuss had a very un Nuss performance for most of the game. But many times his receivers were blanketed and he still tried to force something that wasn't there. Other times he threw the ball away in critical situations instead of taking that extra look .He did make the winning throw but this is not the game to call him one of the greatest.

Then you’ve only been watching for the last few years. Jennings, Jefferson Harris and Lee all had some ridiculous fundamentals

You should take this post down. You’re feeling good about last night and there’s no shame in that. It was a great night.

These are the types of conclusions people that just look at stats but cant watch the game and think for themselves come up with. He is a good QB and is still improving but an all-time great is stretch. If Jaden or Burrow were the QB last night we win by 2-3 scores.

Kids got all the potential in the world to be legendary. He just needs to put it all together in one seamless piece.

in their first season starting? Probably not. Daniels would've refused to throw the ball down field at all, and Burrow was still figuring things out. You guys have forgotten the jump that both of those guys made from year 1 starting to year 2. Neither were as good as Nuss is this year in their first year starting at LSU.

Watching Endgame Nuss carve up the Ole Miss defense was like watching Aaron Judge step up to the plate before launching a ball 485 feet to dead center.
