LSU could go out today and boat race Bama 12-2 like the @UF arse whipping earlier this year on a Sunday and every single one of you would leave this weekend pounding your chest feeling great.

Sure the opposite is possible, but that's baseball and all the more reason not to have a freak 1/9/12 meltdown over a game 2.

These ppl need to chill the hell out. Go pop a nerve pill smoke a joint or something. This team is what it is inconsistent. Yes I do believe they have turned a corner to a degree and improved but they are error prone and inconsistent.

Yeah but you do also realize that what happened yesterday is the same stuff that’s been happening all year. It’s not just some one off thing. People are frustrated because it’s the end of the year and obvious that these thing won’t be fixed. It’s going to be hard to go on a run when 1 out of every 3 games we can’t catch or throw the ball.

Well I mean, if you cant score more points in your match against the other team every time. Fans have the right to be upset

Football mentality. Too many people overreact to one game one way or the other.

Pretty sure 3/4 of the guys that post here during games are high school drama queen girls. Embarrassing is an understatement .

Nobody is basing their opinion of this LSU baseball team on just last nights game. As the guy above pointed out, it seems like the “Bad News Bears” show up in LSU unis AT LEAST once or twice a week & unfortunately it seems to be getting worse not better! Plus if CJJ would at least sit JT for a couple games, especially after a shite-show performance like he had last night, at least you could feel as though he's trying something different bc we all know the definition of insanity right?

Hopefully the injured guys, which is what 4-5 guys deep now, will heal up & once at full strength MAYBE they can clean it up a tad & get hot. We shall see.

This is a flawed team we didn’t learn that last night we’ve been knowing this all year. There is literally zero point in melting about it anymore. You are who you are at this point in the season. Now you just take that and see what happens.

I watch LSU baseball and I have no issue w/losing a game I have no issue with losing by 10 every once in a while sometimes its just not your say.

But watching Thompson run out to Ss every inning pisses me off. He is not a very good fielder this season. His errors pile up and we have lost 3 sec games directly because of his defensive play. I hope he gets out of this funk but we have 7 sec games left. I don't see it happening.
If Bianco or Cranford can play the field let them. Sacrifice the bat like last season with millazzo.

Yes we know this is a flawed team. That doesn’t mean there can’t still be improvement. Berry has improved tremendously on the defensive side of the ball. Thompson and our catchers on the other hand, haven’t improved at all.

I think it's also the level of the errors.

Missing a throw from deep 3B to 1B is one thing.

Dropping an infield flyball and booting a slow ground ball into the outfield are very different things.

You say that as if they are somehow unique in that regard amongst baseball teams. It’s the nature of the sport not necessarily a negative attribute of this team.

More concerned about Jacob Berry’s injury. The defense is what it is and will have meltdowns in some games. The quick fix with the pitching is sit Money & go with somebody else starting.

This team this far into the season IS THIS.

5 innings of starting pitching all weekend. (Hillard on Friday’s) rest are bullpen guys on any normal LSU team.

Can’t catch or throw

Most of the times zero batters box presence. Down 5 runs last night pitcher throws 6 straight balls two previous batters. Then guy gets up swings at ball 7 and 8 in a row in the batters first two pitches in at bat. I swear that this travel ball shite has made the kids so numb to the game they can’t think it’s just a robotic response it’s zero thought process.

Anyway that’s this team. They won’t make it out of a regional because the only thing they are consistent at is being inconsistent.
