I think bama. Yea they may not be as good as they used to but it’s a mental thing.
We’ve gotta stop playing the logo. They don’t have the goat coach anymore, none of these players or coaches have anything to do with the 2010s choke jobs.

Texas. With their returning starters and big portal pickups, I think the Horns should be picked to win it all. Along with ATM, they pose the toughest matchup for LSU talent wise.
Alabama has lost a lot, and we gave them trouble on the road this year, actually challenging them although our offense was messed up. They're obviously not the same team as in years past, plus they'll have a freshman QB in Death Valley. I look for the Tigers to win that one.
Ole Miss still has good talent but not as much as this year, having lost some key players. Their crowd will be rocking, and they'll be super motivated. LSU might not have jelled by then since it's only the third game of the season. Tennessee on the road might be a trap.
On paper, I think LSU goes at least 9-3, and if they split Ole Miss/ATM on back-to-back weekends, and the same with Texas/Bama, I think we go 10-2 and into the playoffs. I'm penciling in Texas as a loss, but they're beatable, and we have the talent to beat them. I think LSU should have jelled by that point in mid-November.

Alabama will always be the toughest game on the schedule in my mind. It’s a different era without Saban there of course but that game will always be a must watch. I also tend to judge a coach based off his first game against them. I was actually pretty hype about BK after he beat them in his first year. I sure hope LK does too. Would be great to see that not be an expected loss like I’ve gotten used to

Good thing is we’re finally to the point where the players don’t know what it’s like to play a Saban team, so it SHOULDN’T be in their heads anymore.

Texas.
Don't know why we're playing there when we played there last time when Burreaux beat the brakes off them.

Texas is a home game on Nov. 14th.

I worry about the road games at Auburn, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Auburn and Kentucky are historically difficult places for LSU to play. And the 3-game stretch of Bama, Texas, and at Tennessee is a murderers row.
If Trinidad isn’t eligible, I think Ole Miss will be very winnable.

The same thing that happened when we played florida state.A few years back..
The first came next year needs to be against a cupcake. Take the glasses off. This is a bad schedule. I don't see the team winning more than nine games.
You need to take a break cupcake.

I always worry about dates and back-to-backs of big games.
I'm not worried about Clemson, so that means we need to at worst split @Ole Miss and A&M
Then it comes down to the 3-week stretch of
Bama
Texas
@Tennessee
Bama game is always very physical, so we can't afford a letdown hosting Texas the next week. Texas will be coming off a tough road game at Mizzou that's a good spot to play them.
We need to go 2-1 in that stretch. If we go 2-0, I could see us having a letdown in Knoxville.
Finish 10-2 in that scenario and hosting a playoff game. That's fine with me in year 1 of the Lane train.

Bama is still Bama-- always a dogfight even with great LSU teams. And we haven't fared too well in the Kalen DeBoer era.

LSU won that game but nobody's "brakes were beaten off" that night. We in fact got lucky on an onside kick to secure victory that game.

I don't know exactly. I would say aTm, but Elko got an extension so they should begin falling off this season.

None. We are mowing them all down.
