The interception was TOTALLY on him. Yes, Sloan could have put it up for 14 so he could go get it. Instead, it was RPO and Nuss blanked on the safety (the guy HE is responsible for, and the guy that picked the pass). Otherwise, I thought that he played well considering the hits that he took

The other int was at least as bad.

The picks that he's thrown this season have been downright retarded though

1. Underthrown deep shot vs tech
2. Retarded throw into the middle of the field across his body vs UF
3. Middle of the field throw into coverage vs Miss when there were other targets open
4. Overthrow to an open wr
5.. Terrible recognition of what the safety was and wasn't doing at the Goal line vs SC

Damm Sloan! Why did you call those stupid plays?

The bigger question is…can the Oline finally start to gel.

If so, Nuss will have more time to survey things (even if only minimally so). If that happens, he will be more effective.

He was hit repeatedly Saturday night, but still played fairly well. The interception was TOTALLY on him. Yes, Sloan could have put it up for 14 so he could go get it. Instead, it was RPO and Nuss blanked on the safety (the guy HE is responsible for, and the guy that picked the pass). Otherwise, I thought that he played well considering the hits that he took.

This is a way to excuse him when you shouldn't. Nuss makes terrible passes when he has clean pockets. Most of his ints are from clean or mostly clean pockets. A lot of times he just drifts back for no reason.

I can live with a terrible int a game, IF he is putting up yards AND points the rest of the way.

5th year Nuss so far is considerably inferior to 4th year Lee. It’s not particularly close

Double the TD %, half the INT %, more efficient with yards/attempt. Nuss wins on completion % from the checkdowns. Don’t sully Lee’s name with this shite

The selective/convenient memory of the legend of Jarret Lee never ceases to amaze me. If you think Nuss throws off his back foot too much - go back and look at some J Lee film.

Cool story bro

Lee’s senior year is better than this slop so far. Statistically and eye test

Again, convenient. He threw for 1300 yards the whole season and averaged less that 8 yards per attempt - he started 9 games and played in all 11. His best game was a 213 yard effort vs a bad Mississippi State team in a game we won 19-6. His second best game was a 180-yard effort.

Yes he threw only 3 pics - much better than Nuss yes - because Les put kaibash on the offense - limiting the type of throws Lee was allowed to make, not wanting a repeat of 2008 and knowing he had the best defense in the country. Folks who wanted him to come in vs. Bama the second time around didn't pay attention the first time around.

I'm not happy with Nuss and his decision making - injury or not he's made way too many bad ones. Even compromised physically early, no excuse for many of the decisions he's made. But enough with how great or even good Jarrett Lee was.

Speak for yourself. He is the quarterback of my favorite team, so why would I not be a fan? He is not perfect. None of us are. He makes maddening decisions sometimes. Maybe support him and get behind him instead of tearing him down?

I see the same shortcomings you all see but would rather have a positive outlook that things can improve and look forward to the next game. I think I enjoy my fandom more than the old women on here.

Years ago I saw a motivational speech by Tiger legend Jerry Stovall and it rings true here. He asked the audience if you were in a boat 25 miles offshore and the boat sank do think you could swim to shore? He asked for a show of hands and of course nobody raised their hand. Well, he said you just gave up so you might as well just slip under drown. Otherwise have hope and paddle like a mofo…

If he threw it at Parkes head level the ball gets picked or batted down. The ball had to be a layered throw to Parker due to the defender underneath. If Nuss made the throw correctly it was still going to be with Parker needing to jump. 1.5-2' is probably the magic spot. But if he threw it 3' lower the ball gets batted or picked. It wasn't an easy throw but its a throw Nuss is excellent at. The only comment should be Nuss could have moved in the pocket differently than drifting back but that doesn't make the throw easier it just might have given him a path to run.

No one’s even arguing this

It’s just that 2025 Nuss (so far) is the inferior to 2011 Lee

I think it’s pretty fair to say and is a given about the following…

Nuss will continue to put the ball in harms way. We will see some great throws and we will see some really bad throws. Diagnosing coverage will be spotty and INTs will continue. Should we play a dominant DL or a strong defensive coordinator/HBC the offense will struggle. We will continue to paint the sideline, flat, and shallow slant game be a major part of our passing game. These are the safe throws Nuss can make. Any pass other than that is a 50/50 ball. Hard to discount performance through 6 games as a catalyst for the remaining.

This team doesn't get in the playoffs with three losses. It's safe to assume that even if we beat two of the four ranked teams left to play, that it is going to be in ugly fashion. No style points to give the committee to say that this team should be in the playoffs.

We'd be the Ole Miss and South Carolina of last year, not the Bama. No way we'd look like the one three loss team worth putting in.

I think the goal line one was the worse one.

The 1st INT was 3rd and long and basically amounted to a punt; his choices were to throw it away (I don't think Nuss knows that this is allowed) and punt; or try to make a low percentage throw which he overthrew.

At the goal line; he made a terrible read. It looks like he thought he could rifle it in there but flinched because of the pressure and short armed it. Considering that Nuss had 3 guys in his face and nobody open; he needs to eat it or throw at someone's feet on that play.

Originally just wanted to see if LSU has punted more this season than 2023 and then went a little further.

Interesting stat on how incredible the 2023 offense was.

Possessions without points (not counting kneel downs)

2023 (13 games): 46*
26 punts
5 INTS
3 fumbles
3 missed FGs
6/15 on 4th down

*7 came in the bowl game vs Wisconsin (5 punts, 1 INT, 0/1 4th); meaning with Daniels at QB and Denbrock calling plays, LSU only failed to score on 39 possessions during the entire regular season, and punted only 21 times all year.

2025 (6 games) : 36
25 punts
5 INTs
3 fumbles
2 missed FGs
5/6 on 4th down

Saturday was the first time this season he's thrown 2 INTs in a game. So it's certainly not a "given"

That said, I do think it is a given that he's going to have at least 2-3 throws a game that are easily capable of being intercepted. It's been 5 years. It's who he is. But that is the trade off for the "incredible passes". The same overconfidence that makes him throw into triple coverage is the same confidence that allows him to hit Anderson in a seam on 4th & the game vs Ole Miss last year.

BK basically acknowledged that in his press conference yesterday. LSU is going to have to live with it. Luckily, the defense has been able to mitigate the damage. He's thrown 5 interceptions this season...none of which have been turned into points by the opponent.
