but Elleshoe ( or whatever that tards handle is) says Jay needs to fired for not knowing anything about baseball.

Jay is constantly planning ahead.
He also started Cowan, because he felt bringing in Evans to follow him would make it even more challenging on their hitters and it was.

Yeah, if true, that's silly. He has logical reasons behind his decisions. Doesn't mean they are always correct, but results are what matters and he's winning.

I’d imagine talking through his strategy would be like talking Thermodynamics with a PhD in that field for us fans.
He looks at things that don’t even cross our minds, and he looks at those things in more detail than we look at the simple things we do understand.

He has said more than once that part of the reason he came to LSU was to have access to Coach Skip. Guy is a student of the game and amateur meteorologist.

A guy getting paid a ton of money to think about the things we think about for free is planning ahead? No way!!

Eyanson pitched in Hoover because Jay wanted to make sure both starters got some throws in during a single elimination tournament.

We were always going to start our Super on Saturday. All one had to do was look at the CWS schedule. Our bracket started the day after the other side of the bracket. And…. Whats happened in the Supers? Duh! Every team on our side of the bracket has a Saturday start in the Supers.

Might as well add he left Evans in to pitch to another batter with runners on 1st and 2nd because he felt that LR would bunt and he trusted him to make an athletic play on it because of his past as an SS...

Not sure what you mean. All 16 regionals started on Friday

Execution versus the right decision IS not the wrong decision when it doesn’t go to plan. Staying ahead of a team is like a game of chess and people try to simplify it to checkers. Anyone can look back and say “he made a wrong decision” after the fact. Idiots do it all the time. For 3 years all we wanted to do is swing for the fence and this year you see the team bunting more and trying to score runs in every way they can because the Friday and Saturday starters can take you the distance and put up zeros. You don’t need as many runs to win. Fundamental baseball is what he is trying to instill and have the players execute. 10 total errors on your SS, 2nd baseman and 3rd baseman with those pitchers is how you win championships.
It was rare seeing the error in the second inning.

Probably was a factor; it’s just not what CJJ actually said.

He wanted Crews and Skenes to go pro so they can have kids in the next two years who can play for Jay before he retires. The guy is a mad genius alright.

Anderson and Eyanson are damn near interchangeable, but we have no idea if Anderson can come back in a couple days and pitch a few innings effectively. Eyanson can. So you flip them so Eyanson pitches first, and he can come back in 3 days to finish the decisive game if needed.
Doesn't come into play in the Supers, but the first week of Omaha is the same format as a regional- 4 teams, double elimination. So I'd say the same plan would apply there.
The Supers have the same format as the Finals, which is best-of-three series. If we make it that far, I'd say we will do the same thing in both events. Might be Anderson first since Eyanson went twice in the regionals, or it might be Eyanson to give him a bit more rest in the weeks between.
I'm not saying we do win it all, but we have the prerequisite pitching to do so.
