Didn't LSU beat like 6 top 15 teams in 2019 or some crazy stat like that? No. It's tough but nowhere near toughest.

Alabama, Texas, and Tennessee all in a row is pretty tough.

Just two weeks ago we were looking at potentially playing two #1 undefeated teams in a row, and following that up with a trip to TN.

After this weekend, I think TN will be the toughest matchup. I have only seen their game against Bama, but in that small sample size, that was by far the best defense I have seen this year.

Then again it would not surprise me in the least if they lose double digit games to both Kentucky and LSU. With all of the portal driven roster turnover, its not surprising the entire league needs to be on Ritalin.

Let's just say it's tougher than Notre Dame's or Miami
?????? What a joke.

It is the most difficult mostly because it is the first time ever we have had 5 SEC road games

Depending on where they are ranked when we play them, we will play more top 25 teams (at the time we played them) in the regular season than in 2019(6 vs 4), but fewer top 10 teams (1 vs 4). All 4 of the teams we played that were ranked at the time in 2019 remained ranked at the end of the season, though not as high except for Florida.

Not sure what will happen regarding the ones LSU played this season. A&M and State dropped out, but Kentucky jumped into the rankings.

dates for those games haven’t been set. so they may not happen back to back

They won’t be. The schedule is to be redone every three years based on winning percentages. You only keep the teams
You’re paired with yearly.

Yeah, looking back, that was an insane schedule and LSU managed to tie for the SEC title and beat co-champ Auburn in the earthquake game.

Wait until 28 when it flips, and we have to play all of this year’s home teams on the Road

2019 schedule was tough bc of the playoff additions.

2011 was the toughest regular season schedule.

You cannot judge teams by where they were ranked when we played them, especially games in Sept and Oct. You have to go back and look at the opponent's rankings at the end of the season. To make this judgement. Before the season you had some polls with Clemson and Texas A&M ranked.

It's not even the most difficult in the SEC this year. And as for in history the answer is no.

That was a horrendous schedule. The following year 1989 may have been even worse:

@ Aggies
Florida St.
Ohio U.
Florida
@ Auburn
@ Kentucky
Tennessee
@ Ole Miss
Alabama
Miss. St.
@ Tulane

LSU finished 4-7 that year

Also Florida State was 11-0 and Tulane, at 9-2 was no slouch. That 1979 team, Cholly Mac's last, really overperformed.

I would really have to think about it AFTER the season
2011 was really difficult. Oregon and WVU won their conferences if I remember correctly.
