I thought BK said he’s had an ankle issue this fall. Anyone remember that?

I’m kinda weird but I always look at a man’s legs to see his stability.
I for one think his legs are very lean for his physique.
Could be a problem all of his career.

He is our best player on team and most impactful. Will be our highest draft pick as well.

He might become the best player or become one of the best, but as of now, Harold Perkins is the most impactful. He was a complete game-changer as soon as he started getting significant snaps last year and is already considered one of the best defensive players in college football going into this year.
It will be good to see what Smith can do if he stays healthy though with his athleticism at his size.

He’s been conditioning in 100 degree heat all summer why would he not be in shape?

He was hurt last year and he’s hurt again this year. Last year it was a non-contact injury. This year it’s an ankle that no one saw happen.
It’s only reasonable to wonder if he’s injury prone and whether he’s a bit fragile for a defensive lineman.

LSU doesn’t play for another 2 weeks.
He’s arguably the top pro prospect on the team.
He plays a position that doesn’t require a ton scrimmage work (unlike QB, DB, WR, etc.). DT is a pretty simple position relative to the others.
So why unnecessarily risk further injury today?
If he’s out the week before the FSU game then you can start to worry. Otherwise, him sitting out is no big deal

reminds me of Freak Johnson’s hype. All I ever heard by everyone was how he was awesome and dominating… I kept thinking, “am i blind, because what are they seeing?”.
Anyway, supposedly he’s awesome but he kind of plays the same spot as Wingo. I think they rotate a lot in base and then are both in on 3rd downs. In base, House likes a nose so Guillory and Jefferson and that Rs Feshman Hill over the nose a lot. Wingo and Smith will stay fresh and likely only be together on 3rd downs.

Cajuntiger1010 thinks he will be too out of shape.
Which means he will be in shape to play the 2nd half

Ok play him in second half to whip up on OL that has a half and they are about spent

They obviously need to handle him with caution coming off a major leg injury. He's too important for the team. Also having missed so many valuable reps last year a little extra seasoning will help him come along at the right pace.

He possibly could be and I hope he is because that would mean he’s really fricking good but it is absolutely absurd to make this claim right now

Different than full contact reps. It's a different type of fatigue.
