Maason Smith seems to be on the exercise bike or limited at a lot of practice reports. Is he ready to roll?

I think they are just being overly cautious with arguably our best player on the team

Hopefully he didn’t permanently mess up his body with that knee injury while he was celebrating a play last year

Don’t exaggerate. He’s clearly only 350

Coming off ACL, why play him in a pre season scrimmage?

He has an ankle injury according to Kelly . He hasn’t played in a year so he’s gonna be sore

He sprained an ankle a couple weeks ago. It takes a few weeks to feel right

Brian Kelly gave a rather explicit explanation last week on how they are going to handle Smith going forward

I have a feeling he’ll be too out of shape to play in 2nd half vs FSU

Why does everyone say this? What has he done to justify this? He had 19 tackles as a freshman and missed all of last year, but everyone's convinced he's going to be some dominant force. I don't get it. I hope the dude balls out this year, but I'd like to see him play a few games before he's anointed GOAT.

He was pretty damn good his freshman year and by all accounts including the coaching staff he's a pretty dominating player. Hell, the little time he was in against FSU he was completely unblockable and very well could've changed that game all by himself. He was as advertised with all the all-american hype before he got hurt.

Everyone targets him with all-american when they talk about him. Might be a reason for that you know? He has an all-american right by him and behind him so it can't hurt his production either can it?

He is our best player on team and most impactful. Will be our highest draft pick as well.

An 800 elephant would be very skinny, almost anorexic. Now a gorilla that size would be impressive.

I watched some practice video where he was off to side working on the sled and the run around the hoop drill. I'm sure you could find it online.

Dude looked like the ankle was a little tender, but with that being said, holy shite he was dominating that sled. He was quick as hell on the hoop drill.

I'm not worried after seeing that. Let him heal up and get ready to go. He was an absolute monster on the drills. If I was an SEC guard I would hate to see that big arse man lining up across from me.

All of this. I saw the same thing and thought, he's ready. As long as he stays healthy, it's game on.

If he is healthy, everyone is absolutely fricked. A lot riding on that.
