It doesn't mean it's over.

Yes. The media was slowly starting to realize LSU had really not done anything wrong. Sankey would have started feeling the heat over the next 24 hours. LSU filling the last 2 spots actually gives him an excuse to drop it. I’m not sure that he’s still not going to come out of this looking bad though.

No its not, which is why LSU should have added the players and should not give an inch to the SEC. This wasn't and isn't about adding players. This was about LSU refusing to "stay in their place" like the likes of UGA, Bama, Texas, Tennessee would like us to. The exact reason Wade was fired. The exact reason LSU was hated for hiring Kelly from ND. The exact reason we've been hated since we hired Kiffin. The rest of the SEC looks down on LSU and is fine as long as we aren't winning "too much". frick em. Burn the whole fricking thing down

No way the SEC just says never mind. They’ve painted themselves into a corner where they have to take some action.

It’s over unless some big conspiracy is uncovered. LSU didn’t roster players and the SEC didn’t take any action. They simply scheduled a vote to see if any action may be taken some time in the future.

The SEC is going to impose some penalties on LSU for "lack of institutional control". They want to hurt LSU football because that's what almost all of the other SEC teams want to happen.

That's my opinion.

To punish LSU may bring a lot of former issues with other programs to the surface again. Some in sports media will start asking uncomfortable questions on how LSU gets punished when X, Y, and Z did far worse and nothing was done. The wise thing for Sankey to do is claim that the roster spots being filled removes the threat of LSU adding NFL players and leave it at that.

I don’t want to be in this conference anymore. Our fellow member institutions are a bunch of traitorous, backstabbing motherfrickers.

Absolutely not.

1) you have players with an active judgement against the SEC - that’s not going anywhere

2) you can’t just add a state AG (whose history has shown to be spiteful when crossed) to a federal filing and get out cleanly.

3) the SEC still needs to save face considering LSU broke zero rules. So, they will push to fabricate some apology of some sort (I am speculating this one)
