We beat them so bad so often they left the sec and now they refuse to even be in the same video game as LSU.

Tulane athletics are a complete joke. They have no alumni support because most of their graduates aren’t from here and don’t give a shite about sports after college. If someone today told Tulane supporters from 40 years ago this is where they’d be, they’d all want to vomit. Die hard wave fans are scarce these days.

From 1950-1994 the game was played every season and Tulane managed 2 ties and 4 wins

Ea is producing a new NCAA football game and Tulane decided they don’t want to participate in it.

LSU broke them so bad that Tulane doesn’t understand genders anymore

The only ones who see Tulane as a rival are old people. Just like the only LSU fans who hate ULL are the ones who have to live among the ragin Cajun die hards.

Dead horse.

Tulane was once a rival unlike ull. LSU beat them so bad they ran off and turned into transgenders. So yes they are no longer a rival but only because of LSU

As a a graduate of both Tulane and LSU, I can confirm that Tulane has indeed lost its luster when in comes to sports. It’s rare that Alumni stick around the state after graduation, and even rarer that they chose to support the University’s athletic program. There are a few who do what they can. Buying suites and making donations. But not many.

We have a .740% against them, it was never a real rivalry. Only for fans. However , I do find it strange we haven’t played them since 2009. I hate that we are so willing to play charity games against the FCS teams in state but not Tulane. I guess that goes back to Tulane’s lack of willingness to invest in football. LSU doesn’t want to give them a handout.

And they still managed to get two coaches fired from LSU during that stretch.

I'm one of the "old guys" who remember playing the little greenies every year. I still like the idea of playing them every year - it would be a win & would look better on paper than beating a directional rent-a-win school. I think the reason we don't play tulame every year is that their money types are also old & remember the days of home & home, so they insist on at least 2 for 1 games. That day will never come. The second issue is TV value. If they can only draw 6 to 7K made up numbers in their uptown high school band box, think what they draw as a g5 aac team on TV.....thus the 11 AM kick off which turns off the LSU fans.

ND and Northwestern have also chosen not to be apart of the game so far. It's academia pandering to the masses

LSU barely plays Tulane in anything, so they aren't a rival any longer obviously. And although LSU used to routinely kick the crap out of them, their fans hated LSU with a passion and LSU fans hated them back. I mean, it had all the fan hate for a great rivalry. They even freaking stole Mike the Tiger in New Orleans the night before the LSU-Tulane game from what I read. That was a great story.

Tulane has actually landed in a pretty nice spot in the American. Their problem is they don’t have fans, and they never will if they keep admitting so few in state students.

Tulane benefits from the state but the state doesn’t benefit from Tulane.

We should never play toolame in ANY sport. They are a joke & we gain absolutely nothing from playing them.
