Miles has waited for his time, but I think Max is the man!

1112 yds passing, 11 TD passes, and a 154.3 rating in 3 games aren't empty stats. They're in fact quite Burrowesque.

When I think about Burrowesque... I think about the 3rd & 5 read option run to seal the game in Tuscaloosa.

3rd & 17 Pocket awareness against Texas.

The 3rd & 12 first down run and getting blown up on the sideline and getting right back up against Auburn.

The 3rd & goal TD run down 17-7 against Clemson followed by the 30 yard run on 3rd & 10 with 15 seconds left in the half before throwing a TD pass to Moss to take the halftime lead against Clemson.

Thats the "IT" factor that Brennan does not have. Improvising and making unexpected plays to win games. Yeah Burrow accounted for 66 TDs, but those 4 or 5 plays made by Burrow's running ability won us a natty. Max has that skillset/potential.

Under the tutelage of Steve Ensminger in the off season, Joe Burrow made his biggest jump between his junior season and his senior season.

However, Myles was in his senior season last season before he got hurt and he was no Joe Burrow. I'm sorry to say, as again, Myles has already maxed out and reached his zenith.
Joe Burrow was a redshirt junior in 2018 exactly like Brennan was last year.

Just saw this post for the first time, but the subject has been talked about ad-nauseam. Why another thread.

But my concern is the quote from Ed O, why the hell would you tell the world you already know who the best player Is? Why not just say it's a close competition that will go down to the wire? I am beginning to question his mental competence to lead this football program. I guess if you can have mentally incompetent person lead the most powerful nation in the world, why not a major college football program?

Exactly. Brennan is a 22 year old 5th year senior. Just like Joe Burrow was when Brennan was an 18 year old sophomore. The scenarios are now identical to Brennan and Johnson now. Brennan is not loosing out to an 18 year old sophomore. Believe it. And,
Why can’t lighting strike twice?

I think how good our O line is going to be big determinant of who our QB is. If our O line plays well and provides good pass protection, I have no doubt the Brennan would be our QB where Johnson would be better if our QB needs to be more mobile because of pass protection problems.

I still think both will play, Brennan will start with packages for Johnson

So keeping it quiet as long as possible gives a better chance to keep Myles from transferring so the only back up isn't a true freshman

Bingo.

Yea against the worst teams LSU played. Go back and watch that State game. Whatever it is that great qbs have, call it moxie for arguments sake, he doesn’t have it.

Has just as much as any other QB on the roster. Fact!

Yes we beat FL with him at QB but his stats weren't great. If you want to compare Miss St and Missouri both had better pass D then Fl/OleMiss.I think Max is just a same manager and Miles can be All SEC.

You never think back to 2018 Florida?
First year as a starter and Ensminger was the OC.
I remember.
Preseason 2019, were you a believer, when Joe was predicting 40-50 pts a game? Very few were.
