LongTime Tiger.....not sure if you are a parent or if you live out side of BR, but you sound ignorant to the reality of many Tiger fans.
I, for example, brought my 3 kids, which are all 10 or younger. I live in Lafayette. My kids love games and I love experiencing with them and my wife. Reality was that yesterday was hot, late, and it was a blow out at half. We can choose to leave in the 3rd quarter and get home by 11 or stay till the end and get home at 2. We want to go to church on Sunday morning and not destroy our kids sleep schedule for the next week.
We have 6 season tix and have had them for 20+years. We love LSU and stay till the end when the game is significant and we don't bring our kids. Yesterday was great family game for many people. Lay off my friend. No reason to throw stones at other Tiger fans.

Certainly give you a pass w/ 3 kids 10 and under. Been a while for me since mine were that small plus we live in BR. But staying until the end was the rule for my family. Took my son at age 4 once and he only made it until half. He didn't get the priviledge again until he was 6 when he understood that it was stay until the end or else. Luckily he loved it and never wanted to leave.

But there were lots of fans that weren't elderly, or didn't have small children, that also left early.

I played in college as did my son. If people knew how disheartening it is to play to an almost empty stadium/arena they might rethink attendance. Imagine your kid gets his first minute of playing time in TIger Stadium and there are 20,000 people there in the background of the pictures of him making tackles/catching passes.

Not beating people up, just wondering why more people who don't have 3 little ones would want to leave so early?

Apparently not - stadium looked to be its usual half empty self at the start of the second half.

Serving beer takes more people out of their seats and into the restrooms than before. They will log more time in the restrooms and less time in their seats. Therefore, there will be less cumulative viewing time than before - even when considering a decrease in early departures.

It's obvious it was a combination of a no-name opponent coupled with a rout on the scoreboard. No one leaves early in competitive games against SEC opponents.

Look, I get it. More fans should stay later. I stayed until after the first series of the fourth quarter, and took a very slow walk out along the sideline. I had just had enough and had a belly full of beer. I wasn’t worried about traffic, I was just ready to leave. I’ve been going to most games since 1982. I reckon I’ll leave when I want.

Burrow left the game in the 3rd quarter. Not sure why the fans can’t.

People have been leaving crap games early for 15 years. It’s not going to change so why can’t people stop making threads about this in here?

You sound like a complete a-hole. The type who makes everyone miserable if they don’t share your perspective on everything.

Bet you obnoxiously yell “Tiger bait” repeatedly when you see an opposing fan walking along

Want to beat the traffic? Stay till the end of the game! I was on interstate and at Siegen Lane exit in 15 min!

Never have since I was a drunken grad student.

I just take Tiger games as serious entertainment. Didn't take my kids until they could enjoy it with us until the end. That's my choice. Not sure why you should be inflamed over that.

I wasn't chastising anyone. Just don't understand why you pay for tickets, go to trouble to get to TS, have an exciting offense to watch, and then leave at half. They didn't expect a nail-biter in the 4th quarter. It's not a SECW opponent.

If you met me you would find me quite friendly to all and tolerant of other ideologies.

That's about what I saw, but keep in mind, it was a blowout on a rent-a-win.

I think it'll help overall, even though they stop selling at the end of the 3rd quarter.

The 80’s? The horror.

You’re the reason kids are soft today.

So what is the plan?

Give me the chance to control all traffic for one SEC game and I bet you will see the best post-game traffic in nearly 20 years.

Here’s what I would do:
1. Free parking everywhere except for a select few lots right by the stadium and no parking attendants saying “lot’s full”. Let people find their own damn parking spots and see for themselves.
2. No roped off areas on campus for parking or tailgating. Absolute free-for-all EVERYWHERE with no restrictions.
3. Zero contraflow. All streets are open and traveling in their normal directions uninhibited
4. Zero police controlling traffic. Send then home, don’t pay them, don’t have them taking up lanes of traffic while sitting in their cars, zilch, zero, nada.

I bet the traffic would be a gazillion times better than the average shitshow we’ve become used to.

The Upper West Side is usually much more full than the Upper East Side, which was pretty full for being in the sun in the first quarter

LSU should give out exit tickets that are redeemable for different things. Students could earn points toward some sort of incentive, non-students could use it as a discount at the giftshops, other athletic events or upgraded parking, etc.
