Very few people have accused Aikman, Madden, Mike Gottfried, or Blackledge of hating their team, or even being biased, and they have been the best in the business over the years.

Gosh this shite again. There’s nothing wrong with Gary. He knows his football and is a great color commentator. Alabama has just been the best program majority of his time with CBS, so he has a lot of great things to say about them. He was the same way towards Florida and Urban Meyer, and was the same way in the early years of Miles-Saban towards LSU. He doesn’t have a favorite, he just loves great football, and isn’t taking watching the greatest run in college football for granted.

I personally think he is the best, at insight, doesn’t miss much. I like when he calls a game. I did not like Vern. Funny thing is Alabama fans think he is against them!!! So funny.

No he’s not. His voice is annoying, he’s a complete moron with awful takes, and he randomly snaps into this weird, disinterested, melancholy attitude sometimes. He’s objectively bad at his job. Peyton Manning is a “good” commentator. Gary Danielson is lucky that he was in the right place at the right time at some point in his career and somehow backed his way into a great position

I think the point is that it’s every SEC fan base except Alabama. The issue is his role as chief fellator of them.

I get it. Gary is payed to comment and you have to admit that he knows his football. I guess the problem is that he always has something to say. Gary talks more than Nessler who is calling the game. Instead of Nessler calling the game with Gary throwing in a comment about a play it seems like Gary is calling the game with Nessler commenting once in a while.

Danielson joined the CBS-SEC broadcast in 2006. Since that time Alabama has won the SEC West nine times. And in two years that they didn't (2011 and 2017) they reached the BCSNCG/CFP. They have been, by far, the winningest and most consistent program in the SEC during and have appeared on the CBS broadcast 88 times since Danielson joined the broadcast. Do you think, perhaps, that if he talks about Alabama a lot the reason is because they have been really fricking good for a really long time and relevant in the national championship picture virtually every year for the last 15 years? Who is is supposed to talk about often? The 4th place team in the East? Ole Miss?
The teams at the top get the most attention. It has ALWAYS been that way. I'd MUCH rather listen to a broadcast with Danielson as opposed to other broadcast with screaming idiot PBP guys joined by analyst who can barely diagram a play and tell you what is going on. That's not to say their aren't other good analyst out there. But Danielson is FAR from the worst.
