Is new transfer lineman Mason Lunsford a depth piece or will he push to be a starter?

Can he beat out Dellinger or Frazier? Will be interesting to see. Iron sharpens iron.

Starter or VERY high quality depth. VERY versatile as well.

I think they brought him in to replace bradford. Basically, it is an experienced guy who could start.
I know they are high on dellinger.

If I’m reading PFF correctly he has only allowed four sacks in over 900 pass attempts. Not bad…

Running game ([ON]/off)
We are going to own the lines of scrimmage next year!

Let the chips fall where they may and the best man win. (I'd be looking over my shoulder if I were Frazier)

Could Dellinger get a 2nd try at center? Seems he might get it with more experience.

He won’t start this year.
He needs to put on some good weight to compete in the SEC.
He won’t play Tackle at LSU.
He might be able to start next year if he can play Center.

He was a starter at Maryland for 2 years and has 2 years left so that’s a plus

Don't think OT is his spot here. The 2 youngsters are better(Campbell/Jones) and you only slide Jones inside if someone takes a big jump and forces it.

I think that’s a strong yes on both of those questions.

6'7" Center...naw bruh. He's already a really tall guard.

Could there be the possibility of us using a OL as TE package to get Heard some quality snaps as a FR? That seems like a good way to ease him in to SEC competition

You get the competition out there and let it work itself out. I will say if Emery Jones stays out at RT early on this year there's a good chance Lunsford probably starts. Even then, he still has a good chance starting. Dellinger/Frazier never really totally locked down their own spot.

A two year Big 10 starter doesn’t come here to come off of the bench. He thinks he will start.
