Is Matt McMahon coaching for his job next season? Or we still blaming WW next season?

I think he’s done a good job with what he had after Wade left. Now it’s gonna be year three It’s got to be tournament or

He has one more year. He has a decent group of guys coming in next year. He has to get to the tourney or he's done.

11-25 in the SEC in 2 years after a run of 58-33 in the SEC in 5 years I’d say yes his job is on the line there’s actual people who want to win and not just be mediocre.

They are counting this as year one, cause essentially no coach could have won with significance last year. So I think he gets at least 2 more seasons.

His contract is set up to where year 4 is probably the first year they’d think about getting rid of him.

JFC trajectory matters. Thats like saying a coach finished 18-18 in his first two years and he's on the hot seat, if he went 0-16 to 16-0.

Matt McMahon is bringing in a good recruiting class for his first one out from under Wade’s frick ups.

According to Woody it will be Year 2 next year for MM. And anybody that says MM has a good group coming in next year is just saying that. He's got two high schoolers signed and the rest are coming from the portal or JUCO, so we have no idea at this point if he has a good group coming.
I just hope he can convince guys like Ward, Williams and Reed to return. They have shown enough flashes to be a good core to add to.

Be prepared for worse next season. The few difference maker players are all leaving. Dud recruiting class incoming and he’s not good enough to pull studs out of the portal. Unfortunately we’re stuck with this clown for 2-3 more years thanks to fat woody giving him a 7 yr contract!!

We got 2 HSers coming in but we're losing like 5 so we need 4-5 out the portal. Based on our commitment to basketball, I doubt we're able to buy big fish out the portal so we'll probably take a step back.

Did you say the same thing last year when the top 3 leading scorers moved on and McMahon signed worse high school recruits? Somehow the team greatly improved year over year.
With the transfer portal, there's no point in looking at things this way. Teams can be remade in one year with good portal adds. McMahon did a solid job in the portal last year, let's see what this offseason brings before we bury him.

I’m not sure another mediocre season would get him the boot. But a bad one probably will. Just my opinion though. Would be interested to hear what Woodward’s expectations for next year are.
