-Two of the highest rated games this year.

-Analyst who have historically been overly doubtful now believing in LSU.

-70% of our new commitments are from out of state.

- stories of northerners coming down just to tailgate with no direct connection to the team.

Took a local Cajun to take us nationwide.

If we beat Bama AND Clemson America will love us. That’s like beating the Cowboys and the Yankees in one season.

I will say damn near half of the voices in sports media seem to be ex-LSU players!

Then there was that Monday night game a few weeks ago:

3 LSU players on the field (including 2 of its biggest stars - Jarvis and Odell).

Booger in the booth.

Moss on the greater crew.

Well..... to most. However, I was at the ND vs UofM game on Sat. and went to several pre-game tailgates. They would NOT switch over from Michigan State vs Penn State to save their lives. They wanted to see Michigan State get bitch-slapped so bad they wouldn't even consider switching to the best game in the country on Sat. afternoon. Damn!
Thank God for cell phones..... LOL

YES. On ESPN’s Facebook post where LSU overtook Bama as #1, I was expecting a lot of disagreement and complaints in the comments. To my surprise, everyone except for Ohio St and Bama fans were saying “FINALLY, well deserved,” etc.

Well, why would they want to see what their bleak future holds?

Seeing what LSU has become should be scary for any fanbase.
I imagine both ND and Mich both want to ignore all of the SEC this year because it'll just emphasize how far they actually are from winning a championship again.

We've always been kind of the foil to the stuffy, buttoned up, machine like Alabama. We're the crazy drunks who throw a fun party.

There are a lot of neutral media types at ESPN, Barstool, etc. who love Coach O. Helps that we play an entertaining style now too.

Now we just need to topple the overlords and liberate college football from Gump tyranny.

You went to a game being played in a big 10 stadium and you are surprised they would not turn it off another Big 10 game?

Basically we’re interesting and Bama is boring.

It also helps that we have talents in other sports too and participate in the football fandom like Alex Bregman and Shaq.

Only real voice for Bama is dull and boring Greg McCaroy and Rece Davis.

That’s because we are led by a highly likable and underdog coach with a quarterback that most teams would kill for. Oh and people are tired of Clemson and Bama.

I actually think LSU's brand fits quite nicely in this modern zeitgeist that is sort of a mix of popular and counter cultural/edgy. LSU is still a big/traditional program, but we differ in some ways. Our fan base doesn't act or appear the same way as others, and our program is just a little different than your traditional programs. Still popular, but just different enough. It's why we're popular in the podcast media.

I said something similar last year and got lambasted for saying so.

SEC football is just better than anything else you'll see on Saturday.

LSU has been elite for close to two decades. If you're 16 years old, LSU won a national championship the year you were born and has been a major player every year since, with few exceptions.

Now, not only does LSU have the past success to keep people interested, it also offers a high-flying brand of offensive football. Add crazy Cajun Ed Orgeron to the mix and you've got a fascinating program.

The media loved Miles too. I remember after the 2015 A&M game when it appeared he might be finally fired that the coverage of him and his career was wall to wall - like it was Jordan retiring or some shite!
