Why pay him more?

If anything, cut his pay.

NO ONE ELSE wanted or wants him.

Where the frick else is he gonna go for more or even the same money? Or even a job offer?

STFU.

This is actually a very good point that I hadn't considered.

USC does not want him.

Not then. Not now. Not ever.

And if, by some miracle, they would be stupid enough to offer him...let him frickin' go.

Then do a real coaching search for a qualified and deserving candidate.

Why? You think he’s going anywhere?

You never know.

If this man takes LSU to the playoffs you don’t think other programs will come sniffing around trying to steal him away? It’s a distinct possibility.

Extending him soon has to be on the table.

Like you are privy to every conversation Eddie has had over the years on job prospects. Like you have knowledge of even one...

These are always the funniest posts

You don’t have the slightest clue who O has talked to About a job in the last few years.

Nope. And why would we have to worry about him leaving since this is his dream (version 3) anyways?

He hasn't won the SEC yet. He hasn't won the SEC West yet. He hasn't even had a 10-win season yet. You are a stupid arse dumb idiot.

No. No ones going to take him from LSU, why do we need to do that?

HELL NO! I have been on board with CEO since the initial hire but part of his allure (amongst other factors) was (a) love and dedication for LSU and (2) a reasonable salary that lowered the risk in hiring him.

How about we let the season play out and let his contract approach its end. He is happy here and we are happy with him. I don't think there is a need for him to try to screw us or for us to unnecessarily spend lots of dough. All in due time but that time isn't now.

Here’s an idea. Why not leave the contracts the hell alone and let this season take care of itself? A bonus is a better idea than a contract extension if the season warrants an award.

The reason we got rid of Les wasn't just because of Bama

It was things like getting shut out by Arkansas 17-0 in 2015 that really did him in

If he was going 10-2 regular season with one of those losses being to Bama he would still be here

What kind of idiot extends the contract of someone already under contract for 3 1/2 more years? Unless other people are courting him, I haven’t heard any of that.

I say give him an extension once he has at least a .500 record vs 2 of 3 teams , Florida, Alabama and Moo State. 1-2 vs Florida, 0-2 vs Bama, 0-1 vs Moo State. He could make some headway in the next 3 weeks.

Have we paid Les off yet? Lets wait until that debt is paid before we talk about a new contract. Bonus, bonus, and more bonus.

I'm pretty sure if told Ed today, post Georgia game, that they are taking away his salary, but he could still stay on as head coach for free, he would stay 100%.

Some of you won’t change your opinion with an SEC championship and playoff appearance. At this point I don’t think for a lot it’s about results on the field
