Is it safe to say that Harold Perkins is having one of the all-time LSU freshman seasons?

I don't think this is hyperbole but outside of Tyrann Mathieu and Leonard Fournette, is there anyone who has made this much of an impact year 1?

If by some miracle we make it to the playoffs, hell winning the West alone is a miracle considering the shite show it was here from February 2020 through January 2022, Harold Perkins is a HUGE part of that. His play against Florida, Ole Miss, and Bama is unbelievable.

This dude will make over a million in NIL at LSU and it isn't even close and it will be deserved.

To be able to resist that Aggy $$ and trust his instinct and believe in Coach Kelly very late on in the recruiting process is phenomenal. He deserves so much praise for believing in Coach Kelly when every single school was trying to throw money and negatively recruiting against LSU. Already morphing into an early LSU legend.

He’s already our X factor on defense. Safe to say he’s gonna have a great career with us. Micah Parsons type player

Dalton Hilliard. Booger.
Harold might be having the most dominant defensive freshman year in LSU history. He exceeds Tyrann’s freshman year imho. Tyrann’s sophomore year was GOAT.

Justin Vincent maybe? The list is short for sure and Perkins' impact has to be the most. Teams are having to scheme around him when he's on the field!

Umm Justin Vincent was kind of MVP of SEC and BCS Championships.

What’s incredible is we have 4 freshman out of a class of 15 that are playing major roles this year.

Then we have 15 transfers and ALL of them are either starters or have played a good amount of snaps.

O left the cupboard bare and Kelly went to Costco and loaded up the trunk.

I think it was Kiffin who was asked what happened in the second half of their game and he answered, “Harold Perkins happened.” Same in the Bama game, though not just the second half. I think they said Bryce Young was only 4 for 24 when he was pressured in this game.

Well, considering Mathieu and Fournette are more recent, you will have to forgive me for not fully thinking about Vincent's season 20 years ago

The kid is a freak...I can't imagine how good he will be when he knows all his assignments.

We have had some great freshmen in the past, but what stands out about Perkins and Campbell is their outstanding performance at positions where we had an extreme need. With most of the other players mentioned, there were other good players here. I just don't know where we would be without those two, would definitely be a dramatic drop off.

Stingley is actually another great one. We would have been f'ed without him since Fulton could only guard one at a time.

He must know most of his assignments - he dropped into pass coverage a bunch.

just going based on what the coaches have said. I think they know the talent better than opposing coaches and want him on the field so something must keep him off at times.

Will Campbell is right there with him. True Freshman LT! The only thing tougher would be playing QB.
