Although he spelled *LeBron* incorrectly Thomas has some great potential and seems to be outplaying everyone on the team and there’s no chance of him staying past this year. I put him top 5

Lol how could you forget it, we needed every point to win it. Gotta remember Johnny Jones was the coach and we were never safe.

Simmons is really good when you can space the floor. And when Victor was there to even take shots from the Elbow Simmons was a much better scorer.

Cam can score anywhere.

Of course Cam is a better scorer but Simmons did take over games. I don’t like Simmons personality but I’m not going to pretend he wasn’t outstanding because of it. If Simmons played under Will Wade he’d be viewed completely different around here.

Best pure scorer since Chris Jackson. I feel he has a better all around ability to score than Jackson with Jackson being the better pure shooter. The nostalgics will downvote this though.

If you remember Jackson scored most of his points taking contested shots inside the arch and attacking the defense. What was just as impressive as his quickness was Jackson’s incredible ability to make difficult and contested shots vs bigger players. Guys who never saw CJ play think he just jacked up 25 threes per game but that’s far from the case. Cam takes more 3s per game.

Is this some new word for “people who know basketball?”

You are freaking out over Cam Thomas scoring Jackson’s AVERAGE.

In his first SEC game, he scored 53.

Talk to the guy who said Max Johnson is the next Joey B.

Both statements unreal at this point in time.

Simmons can’t take over a game. And I am a fan. But he just can’t.

Are you sure? Amazing how he learned to do that almost immediately when he entered the pros. Could it be that the coaching staff sucked so much that they sucked thr life out of the team.

I’m not forgetting his ability to score other than threes. His quick dribble between the legs and pull up mid range was deadly. But cam has a good 3 inches of height advantage and about 50 lbs more muscle. CJ was 160 dripping wet and barely 6 foot.

Seriously, you could not be more wrong. Cj was the most gifted scorer I have ever seen play college basketball (I was just born when Pistol played, so can't compare). You simply did not watch him play to think otherwise.

I’m convinced most of the people who hate Simmons didn’t even watch him at LSU. Look I think the guy ya a jerkoff but that doesn’t change the monster season and games he had in an LSU uniform. As far as the label of bust goes, he’s taken a franchise that was historically the worst in NBA history and turned them into a contender in year 1. People hate him because he’s a flake and they blame him for things the coach was responsible for because the team didn’t win. He’ll never be judged objectively by the Rant.

Simmons just isn’t a winner.

Cam Thomas is a great player and it’s unfair to compare him to legends at this point.

CJ was unfairly compared to Pete.

But he did those things so your qualifier doesn’t hold water.
