So the only 2 SEC teams on Bama's schedule who weren't affected by this were Arky and Ole Miss.
Miss St better watch out the week of the LSU/Bama game because they are next on Bama's schedule

This displeases me...

Wow, Verne said Al Ford, the same guy who was working at Tiger Stadium on Saturday night, was the replay official for Mack Wilson’s hit on Noil in the TAMU game. Unreal.

2. Alabama vs Missouri:
SR MLB Terez Hall.
Team Captain. Butkus and Nagurski nominee.
Ejected for Targeting with 9:00 left in Second quarter.
Referee is David Smith
David Smith can't referee Alabama games, unless there's more than one David Smith that referees SEC football.

Whew...thank goodness, because the only way an official could potentially aid their alma mater is to directly referee a game on the field. it's not like calls they make in other games could have undue influence, so no reason to worry our pretty heads over that kind of thing.
Thanks SEC for ensuring complete integrity n the system!

Calm down. He said David Smith was the referee in the Alabama vs. Missouri game. That can't be true since David Smith can't referee Alabama games. At least call out the right ref.

Why can't he...?

Because he played for Alabama. The SEC has a rule where you can't ref games in which you attended one of the schools.

And Mack Wilson had an obvious targeting play that was not called against TAMU
Mack Wilson...notice the ref walk into the picture after the dirty move following the play that was staring straight at it:

And WHY do they do that, do you think?

Both ejections during the bama game was first half and their next opponent was 2nd half. All their best or 2nd best players. Not a theory anymore!
Frick bama frick the SEC. It's time LSU fans take it into their own hands. Everyone needs to buy or some how acquire their own hard paper megaphone to amplify the noise in Bama's direction. Couldn't hurt and easy to get in and be unnoticed! Let's help even the playing field.

I mean, it's fairly obvious why. They've had that rule for a very long time.

aTm and Tennessee targeting calls were legit.
aTm launched at the Bammer's head
Tennessee launched lead with the crown of his helmet
Can't find the Mizzou one
Devin's was a bullshite call

One of Alabama’s touchdown drives got a boost when linebacker Terez Hall was flagged and ejected for targeting. Hall met Harris at the line of scrimmage and tackled him for no gain, but a replay official paged a referee on the field and the hit was reviewed. Replay showed that Hall hit Harris’ head with the crown of his own helmet, so Hall was removed from the game and Alabama awarded eight yards and a first down.

I just kind of wanted you to have to type it out, as you've been particularly obtuse about this entire subject all day.
The SEC already acknowledges that having a referee with ties to a program poses, at least visibly, an appearance of impropriety...so they do not allow alumni to officiate games directly involving their school.
Officially the SEC has made it clear that they understand the possibility of one's own school ties being a possible reason to be unfair.
And yet...there is no rule that prohibits ANY alumni of member institutions from being employed as officials. A BAMA alumnus can call any game...just not ones directly involving BAMA. But...they can call the AU-LSU game...a game that can and often does have huge bearing on BAMA's season. Likewise, a UF alumnus can't call Gator game, but they're free to call UT-UGA with no issues.
That, alone, is ridiculous.
The worst is the fact that for YEARS a member alumnus was Head of officials. So...by rule the SEC was afraid that his ties to his alma mater would be too much to overcome and he was barred from calling games with them in it, but they had no issues with him being the boss of officials who would.
As I've said...there's no reason to argue in favor of this nonsense unless it somehow benefits you.
And for those not following along...think of David Smith like Mickey Guidry. That wouldn't seem odd or potentially wonky at all having a former LSU QB running around calling an Iron Bowl that could effect LSU's chances, would it?

I have no problem with legit calls, but Devin White's was BS! And Bama hasn't had one targeting call in 2 years if what people have posted is true, despite a history of players leading with the crown of the helmet and knocking players out of games!
Mack Wilson by himself has knocked 2 players out with helmet first hits high into the head and neck area without calls, and the post above shows him shoving Fromm after the whistle in the championship. Dude's a dirty player.

Al Ford has a somewhat checkered history, based on googling “Al Ford referee.”
The stink is starting to gather over Birmingham and Tuscaloosa.
Or I should say, more stink.
