So in other words, the rules are one-dimensional, vanilla, even naive, whereas it doesn’t take the smartest man in Tuscaloosa to figure out how to work around them, easily and without detection, by working the gray areas. The deliberately gray areas.

Pretty much, yeah...

Funny thing about systems like that...the folks that seem the least interested in addressing concerns about what seem like obviously flaws in it tend to be the ones most likely to be benefiting from said system. Hence all the cries about how there's nothing to see here and quit whining stuff.

Go figure...

That’s whole a lot of coincidences . Alleva needs to go to bham, blow the doors off of Sankey’s office, demand reforms and give an ultimatum.

And that’s what people are sick of. This is primarily the fuel for the Bama hate. Granted some of it is they are the top dogs nationally. The 13 member schools have a set of rules to keep us honest and Bama has their own set. Classic bullies and the SEC with their natural built in bias allows it.

Mack Wilson by himself has knocked 2 players out with helmet first hits high into the head and neck area without calls, and the post above shows him shoving Fromm after the whistle in the championship. Dude's a dirty player.
...I’m pretty sure you can count on at least one Bama player head hunting against LSU... and I’m sure it won’t b called targeting....they get away with more shite than any team in the country all becuz a little midget who coaches Bama intimidates the refs they fear of losing their job,,..frick BAMA AND frick THE SEC....

Referee is David Smith

David Smith is former back up QB at University of Alabama during Bear Bryant era. Smith currently has a child in college at guess where? University of Alabama!

SEC says that this is not supposed to happen yet it does.

I have no problem with legit calls, but Devin White's was BS! And Bama hasn't had one targeting call in 2 years if what people have posted is true, despite a history of players leading with the crown of the helmet and knocking players out of games!

I believe every team in the SEC has had a targeting penalty in the last two years except Bama (most teams have had mutiple targeting penalties as there were 27 SEC targeting penalties in 2017). Even Vandy had two targeting ejections in a game last year. Hmmm.

If that's not strange enough, a Bama player gets caught throwing three punches on a player who is on the ground, the ref flags it, but doesn't eject him. I mean, targeting calls can sometimes have gray area, but there is no gray area with throwing punches in the NCAA rulebook. It's an automatic ejection. No one can answer why Raekwon wasn't kicked out of that game and the SEC certainly hasn't brought up the subject.

Mascona refuses to accept evidence like this. It tends to mess up his narrative that Bama gets no preferential treatment.

Don't forget the PP7 pick six a few years back. Called out of bounds by the replay official who happened to be a relative of bear Bryant, or so the rumor was.

the SEC office is in Alabama, whether intentionally or not HUMANS WILL BE HUMANS.
there needs to be 2 levels in this penalty:
INTENTIONAL and UNINTENTIONAL .. much like against the punter.
Intentional: = ejection, but needs a reviewing/appeal process away from the emotional setting
NO CARRY OVER TO NEXT GAME....
if in the last quarter ...
ejection from the game and 15 yard penalty

Unintentional: = 15 yard penalty

Same ole bs was happening 9 years ago. This was taken from a locked thread in 2009.

Although the replay official for the LSU-Alabama game was Gerald Hodges, the “replay supervisor” for the LSU-Alabama game was a man named Dick Burleson, according to Alabama sports talk radio host Paul Finebaum. 11-9-2009: Hour 1 The SEC has confirmed Burleson being in the replay booth.

Mr. Burleson’s official website:
LINK

According to Finebaum, Burleson was in the instant replay booth for the LSU-Alabama game. The replay supervisor has the ability to give "advice" about calls involving instant replay. Quoted directly from Mr. Burleson's website … “He is now an SEC staff advisor on officiating and evaluates officials performance each Saturday from the press box and assists with instant replay.” Also, another quote taken directly from his website … “He is a native of Alabama and was inducted into the Alabama High School Sports Hall of Fame.” Mr. Burleson is same man that wrote a book about his time as an official that was named after something his good friend Bear Bryant supposedly said to him during a game ... "You Better Be Right.” Mr. Burleson lives in Blount County, Alabama and often speaks at Alabama booster club meetings, as well as other speaking engagements around the country, and is compensated for those speaking engagements.

A photo taken directly from the front page of Mr. Burleson’s website shows Burleson with Finebaum, a very popular and controversial Alabama sports talk radio host:

Although most reasonable people would agree that there is no “conspiracy” in the SEC in regards to Alabama, most reasonable people would agree that Mr. Burleson should certainly not be involved in any football game involving the Crimson Tide due to his natural bias. But, nonetheless, he was.

What is the SEC’s response to all of this? … “No comment.”

ETA: Since this post on 11-11-2009, Mr. Burleson and/or the SEC has taken down Burleson's official website on 11-12-2009. The website vanished after the SEC was contacted by Fox 8 News about Burleson being in the replay booth for LSU-Alabama and Burleson's ties to the University of Alabama.

ETA#2: For those that didn't get to see Mr. Burleson's website before it mysteriously disappeared, the quotes above were copied and pasted directly from his official website. Many others on here can confirm that to be true as they saw it before the website was taken down on 11-12-09

Why did they not just call roughing the passer like normal folks?

suspension is the reason.

As Finebaum said, the penalty for targeting in the 2nd half is ejection for the remainder of the game and suspension for the next half game so that players don’t have a “license to Kill” late in a game.

Bama players are rarely called for targeting.

Bama players essentially have a “License to Kill” throughout the game.

It’s complete bullshite.
