Info from ticket office about season tickets

I sent an email to the ticket office asking about season ticket relocations. Here is the response. Doesn't give me a lot of confidence.

I think it’s going to be extremely to get people in the stadium. Just the logistics of it all. Then if you decrease capacity, how do you determine who gets in? What does that look like? I think just like the nfl is covering the first 8 rows all around the stadium to create additional space between fans and players. so those 8 rows around the stadium displaces those fans and in the super dome that’s 8-10% of capacity.

I mean almost no way is tiger stadium at full capacity, especially bc you can’t really regulate masks with concessions.

the stadium capacity won't be what moves the season to Spring - it will be the fact that if one player on either team playing in a given week tests positive then the game is canceled for that week

If true...How would this be any different in the spring, or the next fall, or ever for that matter?

Will that also be the case if a player from either team gets the flu, a virus, or any other contagious illness? What about a sprained ankle?

NBA and MLB will help shape what college and NFL football will look like
If there is college football, it will be very limited attendance and I'm starting to wonder if they end up setting up roadblocks to prevent fans from coming tailgate
You are actually safer in the stadium with a mask than outside tailgating.
Attendance wise, it will likely go by priority points and those that decline to attend it will continue on down the line or you allow all fans an opportunity at a handful of games instead of entire season package

Those are both awful reasons, considering that the COVID situation will be substantially similar in the spring to what it is now. Even if we get a vaccine by then, it will not be entirely effective, and the virus WILL spread quickly immediately whenever things 'open back up', no matter when that is. Which is precisely why closing back down is so stupid. We don't know that we will EVER have a universally effective vaccine.
The virus will not be fully eradicated for the foreseeable future, and it certainly will not be eradicated by everyone staying at home. It will just spread more slowly and continue to gut-punch local and regional economies indefinitely.
At some point the costs have to outweigh the benefits. Nothing, not even stadiums and arenas can run at less than full capacity forever.

If that was the case they wouldn't not even be trying to play in the fall. Of course there is a contingency for this situation that does not involve canceling the game, because its going to happen.

Hopefully, they give fans the opportunity to decline to attend first. If they say attendance is limited to, say 15,000 people, I'd have no interest in going. It would be more fun to watch on TV.

Don’t get your hopes up. Not trying to be negative. Of course I want a full capacity TS but it just doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen. A few weeks ago I felt like we were heading in the right direction but as of today we would be lucky to be allowed 50%.

Can't wait for the 50% capacity rule where the big corporate wigs get tickets to Texas, Alabama, South Carolina, and Ole Miss and the plebs like us get tickets to UTSA, Nicholls, and Mississippi State.
